Test yourself for anxiety disorder
This is a simple test you can use if you think you may have anxiety disorder. Doctors call this illness generalized anxiety disorder. We're calling it anxiety disorder for short.
Do any of these statements describe how you have felt in the last six months?
- I never stop worrying about things.
- I have headaches and other aches and pains for no reason.
- I am often tense and have trouble relaxing.
- I have trouble concentrating on one thing.
- I get irritable or impatient.
- I have a lot of trouble falling asleep or staying asleep.
- I often sweat and have hot flashes.
- When I get worried, I sometimes get a lump in my throat or feel like I need to vomit
