How common is chlamydia?
Most people with chlamydia don't know they have it. That's why we can't say exactly how many people are affected.
We do know that chlamydia is the most common infection to be passed on during sex in the United States.1 Each year, about three million Americans get chlamydia.2 We also know that chlamydia is getting more common, and the numbers having been rising steadily since the mid-1990s.3 4
