Fighting for Safer Black Hair Care Products

The Issue

Consumer Reports found carcinogens in all of the synthetic braiding hair samples we tested, which are frequently used by Black consumers, especially Black women and girls.

Our Demand

It’s time for the FDA to step up and take action to limit dangerous chemicals in these products - especially known carcinogens - and require companies to disclose all ingredients.

You can support the Campaign for Beauty Justice by:

Signing our petition to the FDA to limit dangerous chemicals in synthetic braiding hair, and require companies to disclose all ingredients

Signing our petition to Sensationnel and Magic Finger to remove benzene from their synthetic braiding hair
