Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

“Really quiet car. Front is comfortable and ride is very nice. Acceleration is quick and nimble. Back seat space is tighter than our other car a Subaru Forester and therefore we use the Forester for longer trips.”

Anonymous, NJ (2011 Audi Q5)

“Still the best handling SUV I have driven even compared to the new models”

WILLIAM P., MA (2011 Audi Q5)

“Even though I sacrifice a bit on gas mileage, I am glad I got the larger six cylinder over the four cylinder engine because overall it accelerates quicker and probably handles better as well.”

DENNIS A., CA (2011 Audi Q5)

“Butter smooth transmission, always feels like it is in the best gear. Very impressed with the transmission on this car. So much that I wish I had this transmission on my other cars. The engine is great (2 liter 4 cylinder turbo). It did burn too much oil before, but it was recalled and fix for free. But still expect up to a liter of between the 5000 miles interval oil change. Handling is great (for an SUV) I sometimes can maneuver better on turns and roundabouts than even some passenger c”

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

“Nice comfortable ride, very quiet, so quiet you actually hear other cars more than your own car. The heater has a heating element in it (I call it the blow dryer) that generates heat quickly which is great on cold days. Seats have held up very well on the car. The seats get a little cold or hot with the climate (since it is leather) but not as hot as other vehicle makes I sat in.”

ALEX J., MI (2011 Audi Q5)

“Air conditioning is not sufficient for warmer climates.”

SCOTT P., TX (2011 Audi Q5)

“very comfortable on the interstate”

Anonymous, FL (2011 Audi Q5)

“The ride is definitely on the sporty side of sport luxury in that it is on the firm side”

Anonymous, MA (2011 Audi Q5)

“Seats are the best. They are contoured to support the back and give maximum comfort on long drives. Intelligently engineered!”

Anonymous, AZ (2011 Audi Q5)

“Well built & very comfortable”

KARL T., ON (2011 Audi Q5)

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

“We paid $48,000 for our new Prestige 3.2 Q5 in 2011, which seemed like a lot of money at the time, but it has turned out to be a wonderful purchase. The car is very comfortable and quiet, handles well, accelerates very briskly, and holds a lot of stuff (including our Labrador Retriever). Moreover, the only money we've spent on it in the 5+ years we've owned it (except for gas and maintenance) was for a set of brakes and a set of tires, both around 50,000 miles. It has not needed any repairs sinc”
