The redesigned Enclave is a strong entry for General Motors in the luxury SUV segment. It has the core features that shoppers look for in a luxury SUV, but the Enclave is hurt by its low mpg and the added cost to get key advanced safety systems that CR believes should come standard on all vehicles. This Buick has a hushed cabin with enough room for up to seven passengers to stretch out.

Reliability

We expect the 2022 Enclave will be less reliable than the average new car. This prediction is based on data from 2019, 2020 and 2021 models. Select the used car model year to see reported issues with those similar past models.

Reliability indicates how models have performed in the past, providing the basis for predicting how the vehicles will hold up in the year ahead. These charts provide the most comprehensive reliability information available to consumers. Based on information received from our latest subscriber survey for over 300,000 vehicles, our reliability history charts give you a rundown on how 2000 through 2021 vehicles are holding up in 17 potential trouble spots, ranging from the engine, transmission, and brakes to power equipment and the electrical system. NA indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.

"THUMBING COMES FROM REAL BOTTOM OF CAR... ROADS WITH MANY POT HOLES BEING RUN OVER CAUSES CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF THUMPING AND RATTLES. HAPPENED IN MY PREVIOUS 2018 AVINR , THOUGHT THEY WOULD FIX PROBLEM AS THEY ADVERTISE ON OF THE QUIETEST RIDES IN THE MARKET. MY 2019 HIGLANDER WHICH WAS OVER 15000 DOLLARS LESS IS THE QUIETEST CAR I HAVE EVER DRIVEN.... CAN'T WAIT TO GET RID OF THE 2019 AVINIR.... HOWEVER ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEEDS THE CAR IS GREAT. ONE MORE THING THE SEATS ARE AWFUL... AND I MEAN AWFUL"

"As we took delivery on the car, we heard a noise only detectable from the back seat. The dealer kept the vehicle for several days and with the assistance of GM, determined that the noise was coming from the fuel system, but could only be heard when the car fuel tank was 3/4 or more full. .GM is aware of this problem. However, they are unsure when they will decide to repair it. We are not happy with this resolution, but had already signed all the paperwork when the problem was discovered."
