We weren't complimentary about the Regal in our last test report: We called it "a disappointment." Drawbacks include ungainly handling (the optional Gran Touring suspension improves that somewhat) and front seats that become less comfortable the longer you sit in them. But the Regal does have some good points, however: It rides well, at least at lower speeds on smooth roads . Its cabin is quiet. And the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The standard V6 puts out 200 hp. A 240-hp supercharged version powers the GS, making it fast though hardly sporty.
