What Owners Say
"The touch screen display for the Infotainment system starting going black intermittently in Nov 2019. Nothing would display when this happened including the splash screen when starting the car and the backup camera produced no image. Interestingly, the stereo still worked and the screen was responsive to touch even though you could not see any of the buttons being pushed. The screen would stay in this state for several days and then randomly start working again. Unfortunately, it was working correctly when I took it to the dealer and the dealer could not reproduce the issue. They did perform a software update for the infotainment system in the hope that might resolve the issue, but it did not. The problem came back a few weeks later. This time I made a video recording to demonstrate the problem for the dealer in case it started working when I took it in for the repair. Again, it was working when I took it in for the repair in early Jan 2020. The video was helpful to them since they could not reproduce it. They worked with the GM techs for a resolution. They found there was a software update for the HMI (Human Machine Interface--i.e. touchscreen) in the head unit. They updated the software and there has been no problem since (about four months now). This was fixed under the manufacturer warranty."
