Since its launch in 2003, the CTS sedan has been Cadillac's talented young star: a stylish, fun, and agile sports sedan and a fairly credible alternative to a BMW 5 Series or Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The current model shed a couple of hundred pounds, grew four inches longer, and acquired a plusher, posher interior. In short, it emerged from GM's finishing school as the most driver-focused midsized luxury sedan you can buy.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Owner Satisfaction with:

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"The 8 speed transmission is miserable and the engineers have not figured it out. In fact I have a lemon law case in progress relating to it. The car had a vibration going through the car at about 5k miles. Gm replaced the torque converter but have never been able to correct to shifting on the car sense. It has been in the shop 71 days and still not fixed. In fact the vibration is coming back. I would never buy another gm product with an 8 speed transmission. The escalade, Yukon denali an..."

Robert W., TX (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Great"

Patrick O., PA (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Excellent acceleration and even better handling, but I don't like the car because it is too low to the ground"

Gerald S., NJ (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Great ride and handling. Inspires confidence in avoidance situations. Handles well at any speed and has the right amount of isolation from the road with out feeling disconnected."

Anonymous, MI (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Acceleration could be better. When making sharp turns, the wheels seem to jump"

Anonymous, NY (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Power when I need it. Handles beautifully ."

Anonymous, VT (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"I love the looks of my CTS and it drives beautifully for me. Very peppy car, love the comments I get from other people"

Anonymous, MA (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"It's a blast to drive. It has a powerful engine, but it's very stable & manageable. It's like a very nice race car, but it's perfect for driving around town, too. It gets a lot of looks."

Anonymous, TX (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Gear box has a dead spot around 30mph or so. You are in too high of a gear and it responds slowly. Turbo lag can be annoying."

Brad C., WA (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Great handling dynamics."

Anonymous, TN (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"My 2016 CTS drove NOT well at all with "RUN-FLAT"tires!! At 18,000 miles I took them OFF, and put on 4 regular Michelin tires -- what a difference!! Now my 2016 drives as well as my 2010 CTS!! As for acceleration, I am amazed how a 4 cylinder engine in my 2016 takes off from a stoplight!! Great get-up-and-go!"

Peter H., ME (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Drives well and handles well. Excellent accelaration"

Anonymous, OH (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Excellent acceleration and handling"

William B., FL (2016 Cadillac CTS)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"My wife loves it so i am satisfied"

Patrick O., PA (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"I have the standard Seats and think they are great. Car has no wind noise no matter how fast you drive it. Car rides very composed and comfortable at all speeds. Does not beat you up like a lot of sport cars."

Robert W., TX (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Despite its sporty look, this car is very comfortable. It's quiet inside - except when I want to zip around & hear the motor! The seats are great. There's very little storage, though. Glove box would be bigger if the shelf for a CD player could be removed. That's the car only fault. It's awesome."

Anonymous, TX (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Very comfortable seats, quiet, smooth ride"

Rodger S., CA (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Back seats need to be more comfortable"

Jimmy C., OK (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Absolutely great vehicle. Very quite, great acceleration and handling, not to mention so many creature comforts. Plus 30 plus mpg on a trip."

Hugh V., NC (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Very quiet cabin. Comfortable driver's seat (though somewhat less comfortable in passenger seat on longer trips for some reason) Heated wheel and seats are great. Cooling seat seems to taper off too soon. Ride is very smooth."

Brad C., WA (2016 Cadillac CTS)

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"no room for anything, no trunk space, no spare tire and no room for anything."

Anonymous, NY (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Plummeting resale value makes this car a poor value for the money"

Rodger S., CA (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"The CTS is a great performer for ride and handling. Its fun to drive, looks great, and has all the technology and comfort features you would want."

Anonymous, MI (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"Solid, quick, powerful, good looking. Perfect wifes' automobile."

Curtis E., FL (2016 Cadillac CTS)

"over priced and the service is not as good as it should be for a luxury car"

Larry C., MI (2016 Cadillac CTS)
