The Tahoe is a large vehicle and you won't forget it while driving. The 2007 redesign brought improved fit and finish for the interior and better brake pedal feel, but didn't set any new standards among large SUVs. Handling is cumbersome, stopping distances are long and fuel economy, though improved, is poor. However, the highway ride is comfortable.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"The 2007 feels underpowered compared to other years. I liked our 2004 Suburban's acceleration better and love the power of the newest Tahoe/Suburban series."

James D., MD (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"My vehicle is 4WD and as such it accelerates better than expected for a heavy 4WD vehicle. Off-road there is no better ride than in my Tahoe. I've ridden with friends who drive other brands and they are not as nimble or comfortable off-road."

Anonymous, GA (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"It has a big v8 and has great acceleration. The vehicle has a small turning radius for a big SUV."

Anonymous, TX (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"It is impossible to see the dashboard when the sun is out. This means unknowingly running out of gas or exceeding the speed limit."

Arthur R., VA (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"i enjoy driving this vehicle a lot. power is nice and smooth."

Anonymous, MI (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"comfort&room"

Anonymous, CA (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

Thomas A., NV (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"It looks good inside and out and still looks new. Problem is it also is popping manifold bolts, and sucking oil via PVC connection when driving. Both issues GM has left consumer hanging out to dry."

Thomas R., TX (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"It's big - has good acceleration & handling"

Gerhard W., TX (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"turns are no problem with this vehicle"

Bret T., OH (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"This is a very comfortable vehicle. I'd rather drive this than the BMW convertible"

James D., MD (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"The contour of the seats are great. Multiple adjustments allow customization. The ride is quiet and smoothe but the comfortable seats are most important. I have driven this vehicle for over 200K miles in comfort."

Henry H., TX (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"this tahoe rides and handles better than some sedans. also fairly quiet and comfortable."

Anonymous, MI (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)

"Very comfortable adjustable driver seats. No fatigue or pain on long trips"

Anonymous, TX (2007 Chevrolet Tahoe)
