2017 Chrysler Pacifica Owner Satisfaction - Consumer Reports
Going back as far as 1984 with the debut of the Dodge Caravan, Chrysler ruled the family-hauling roost for many years. But the march of time proved challenging, as knockoffs from Honda and Toyota surpassed the original. Now, Chrysler is back with a vengeance.

What Owners Say

"Adaptive Cruise Control and lane following work very well. Automatic emergency braking works, as my wife found out v"

Michael Y., WA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Handling is very strong for a minivan, I think due to the battery lowering the center of gravity. Acceleration is good for a minivan as well"

Mark C., NJ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Chrysler's first plug in hybrid is amazing. The smoothness between the electric motors and gasoline engine is the best I have seen. I think it is smoother than the Volt which we own. The electric motor has enough power to accelerate at a brisk pace. I do wish it was a little more powerful so the gas engine could remain off even more, but I understand compromises have to be made. The suspension is very smooth and it is a pleasure to take on long trips. I congratulate Chrysler on making such..."

Anonymous, MN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Smooth ride; very responsive handling and accelerating; very much drives itself; great cornering; very pleased w/ mileage and also all-electric performance. This hybrid vehicle may be the best kept secret in the automotive world at this time. I've had good driving experiences w/ most of my vehicles but this is my favorite in the last 25 years at least. I have collision avoidance, lane departure, interective spped control and numerous other features that improve the driving experience even more."

T B., NE (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Very smooth and VERY quiet, the noise cancelling system seems to do its job. And loving the gas mileage compared to our Lexus, getting as much as 28-30 mpg on highway. Also has a very tight turn radius, and backup camera and collision avoidance systems work well also."

Michael G., OH (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Despite the car pundits frequent skepticism about mnivans, this car is Very fast and handles well. It is versatile and can haul as well as a small truck but also can carry many passengers as well"

Anonymous, AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Idle at stop is almost 0 rpms. When you hit the gas it jerks. Transition is not smooth. Very powerful and handles well"

Doug G., NJ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This is a wonderful driving vehicle. It is so much smoother and handles an order of magnitude better than the Town and Country it replaced"

Anonymous, ON (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Handles very well, very responsive."

Bob M., WA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The Hybrid drive train is amazing. Lots of torque so really gets up and goes from a stop. Electric variable transmission is seamless - no shifts - just smooth power delivery in all conditions. Smooth transition from electric to ICE when in Hybrid mode. MPG is amazing in Hybrid modem 32mpg on the highway. Chrysler engineers did an excellent job on the power train."

Bob J., MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"a little hesitant on acceleration."

Anonymous, GA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This vehicle is fantastic, 9 speed Trans. works flawlessly, handling is excellent as compared to Honda Odyssey, adaptive Cruise control is fantastic, Lane correction is a definite safety factor; Engine noise is my only complaint"

Anthony K., MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Good handling and acceleration for a minivan."

Anonymous, NC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It drives like my Genesis Coupe and that's a sports car! Pacifica is nimble and peppy. Doesn't feel like a minivan at all."

Anonymous, TX (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The acceleration is more than adequate and the handling is tight and responsive. The cruise system with the sensors to slow or stop the car depending upon traffic is excellent and really appreciated with crowded interstate driving."

Anonymous, DE (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It accelerates excellently and handles perfectly."

Anonymous, AL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The Pacifica has very good acceleration and passing speed. The suspension could be a little stiffer but this is a van."

Anonymous, NJ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Handles like a much smaller vehicle."

Keith E., MN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This vehicle handles well. Acceleration is great. Breaking could be improved."

Anonymous, FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Handles great with plenty of power"

Jim H., IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"I am very satisfied with the ride and comfort of my 2017 Pacifica, except for the transmission. As you have said in your evaluations that the transmission is adequate. However, showtimes in first and second gear shifts with a clunk. It will occasionally do this in the middle gears but not very often. I have had some traffic situations in which I felt this was unsafe. Waiting to make a left turn at a busy intersection and having that happen when turning, delays getting through the intersection. The dealer says “that clunk‿ is considered normal for this Transmission. I would gladly buy/lease another Pacifica when my lease runs out but not if the transmission issue isn’t fixed."

Anonymous, WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Drives perfectly."

Edward B., NJ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Acceleration is quick and smooth. Handling has been good, but I haven't encountered difficult or emergency situations where the car's handling would really be tested."

Charles C., MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Poor acceleration. My 2014 Town and Country had much better acceleration."

Anonymous, FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Acceleration and handling are quite good, but the absence of a "paddle shifter" or other method of manually downshifting is somewhat inconvenient. I have that ability of both of my other minivans."

J M., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The Pacifica drives more like a car than previous Town & Country models. The 9 speed transmission shifts smoothly and has improved gas mileage."

Anonymous, IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Great power, really noticeable when passing"

Anonymous, FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Transmission hesitates on acceleration before selecting the right gear because there are so many to choose from!"

Carl B., VA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The previous Town and Country van I had (now called Pacifica) had a transmission that shifted hard and seemed to always hunt for the correct gear. The Pacifica is light years ahead with a quieter engine and much better shifting transmission."

David F., TN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"handles well, good acceleration. nimble to a minivan"

Anonymous, OH (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Plenty of power for passing, merging etc. But still gets over 30 mpg on a trip. Handles well in snow and rain."

Anonymous, NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It is easy to drive. I was nervous about driving such a large vehicle but it is very easy and comfortable. I like the cruise control options and love the safety features. The backup camera , the warning lights are fantastic"

Robert P., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The small engine really performs well for every driving condition because of the frequent shifting of the 8-speed transmission which is quiet and you just don't notice it except when you are watching the tach. Vehicle is really fast when it needs to be and fuel saving are easy to come by because of the small motor (no choice on motor or transmission - They have them perfectly matched). Really fast and smooth for such a small motor all because the fantastic transmission"

Donald G., IN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"the start stop setting seems to cause either sluggish or jerky acceleration from stop -"

Steve M., MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Better ride and gas milage"

Anonymous, PA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Smooth,good turn ratio"

Thomas D., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The electric engine is amazing. I can beat muscle cars off the line and, with that engine, it uses the same energy on flat terrain as it does hills, meaning better economy. It handles well for a vehicle with its mass and has great brakes."

Patrick R., LA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"You step on the gas and you go and it responds well in all areas of driving"

Anonymous, IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Acceleration and handling are very good. No problems merging into freeway traffic."

Richard S., ON (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The transmission is very smooth and there is sufficient power to adapt to nearly every driving condition I have encountered."

Anonymous, MN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"very good acceleration , Fuel mileage on trip runs between 30 and 33 MPG"

Joseph B., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The Pacifica is designed so it does not copy any other product. It is a stand-alone performer, I have spoken to other owners and the consensus is they are very pleased with the performance as I am, The transmission is very well mated to the engine and its ability to perform on all of the important driving that I do on the open road as well."

Anonymous, NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Drivettrain software has been updated at least three times, twice in response to complaints, and once for a recall. Main complaint is jerking at slow speeds."

Anonymous, AK (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"super small turning radius for the size of the vehicle"

Stran L., WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Acceleration is outstanding for the size and weight of vehicle. Steering is quite responsive. acceleration on electric only is surprisingly fast. Everything inside is right where you would want it to be. No real console for storage because of space used by battery."

T B., NE (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It has lots of power. It responds when the accelerator is pushed. It cruises very well at 80 on the freeway."

Bob M., WA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Best van out of four I owned from Chrysler. Smith ride , great acceleration, roomy. Easy to get in back row seating . No rattles or odd noises. Had it a year just love it . All controls and conveniences are top line . They did good by putting more horses power"

Dan D., IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Awesome power and handling for a six cylinder. I think the larger tires/wheels help."

Mark O., MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This is the smoothest and most quiet vehicle I have ever owned. Acceleration is very smooth. Since this vehicle is so quiet on the highway I can hear the radio even with my poor hearing. Was not able to do this in the previous vehicle."

Harlan H., AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Transmission is terrible. Gear changes are slow and sometimes jumps forward or makes scraping sounds. Accelerates like you would expect a minivan to - have to floor it to get up any speed. When will someone make a minivan with a diesel/performance engine that doesn't drive like a tank?!"

Cat M., NC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The transmission definitely has hiccups sometimes, a lag due to up-shifting before the downshift is complete."

Anonymous, DC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"both acceleration and handling are vastly improved over the 2010 dodge van i had previously. the pacifica behaves more like a sedan than a van. No pitch or sway, lower center of gravity, acceleration like a sports car."

John H., MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Too easy to over steer."

Anonymous, CA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This vehicle starts instantly, idles smoothly, and accelerates briskly. I always turn off the auto-stop-start function as it makes me uncomfortable that I don't have the engine running. The handling is taut, responsive, and totally predictable. I think this is one of the finest driving machines of the 15 vehicles I've owned over 52 years. The advanced safety features and adaptive cruise control are just icing on the cake."

R D., ON (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Acceleration is capable and handling is decades better than the old van."

Anonymous, MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Great acceleration, superb brakes. Handles better than any of my previous 2 Chrysler vans and a Ford van."

Anonymous, CO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The 9- speed transmission provide a great variety in acceleration across all speeds and power bands. Handling is solid and confident. It drives where you expect it to go with very minimal under-steer. Freeway interchanges can be negotiated at full speed with confidence."

Bryan G., AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It handles real well and stays where it belongs on the road. Acceleration, steering, and braking are more sensitive than I'm used to in previous vehicles."

Anonymous, AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Responsive, easy to maneuver, back-up camera very helpful"

Anonymous, CA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Very responsive handles and rides more like a car than a minivan."

Anonymous, GA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The van has crisp excelleration and handles like a cat."

D W., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Plenty of power and very comfortable on long trips. No problem merging at high speed."

Anonymous, NC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This is a large vehicle weighing almost 4400Lbs(loaded with my wife and 2 dogs it is way over 4400Lbs) but has the acceleration of a much lighter vehicle. Merging onto Interstates has never been a problem from almost a stop position. Again for a large, boxy vehicle this has very smooth cornering and easy to maneuver when passing trucks and in high winds. It does not feel like a minivan!"

Frederick F., SC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The low speed torque of the electric system makes the van very responsive in around-town driving. The transition to gas power is very smooth. Steering is a bit numb, though."

Andrew J., SC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Accelerates well when passing. I don't like the fact that you cannot shift down in the gears (auto + manual control). Noisier than smaller cars. Space is spectacular - one of the highlights of the car."

David D., OR (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"There is sometimes a lag between hitting the accelerator and actual acceleration: especially noticeable in highway driving passing and especially annoying at that time. Also I now have 3 recalls on this vehicle which, in my opinion is an awful lot for a new car."

Beverly S., IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This car sets low to the ground. We have always had a mini van since they came out in 1990. We like to be higher so we can see the traffic better. The way the windows, the head rests and the seats, it is difficult to see other cars. I do not feel safe in this car even with the many airbags it has."

Marsha M., IA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The new Chrysler 9-speed transmission is very smooth shifting and impressed me with mountain driving automatic up and down shifting."

John S., IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Very good acceleration, smooth power delivery, sure handling"

Anonymous, MN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This vehicle is a moving xxxxx trap and should be taken off the road. The parking brake was continually going on whether going slow or fast. The one time when resetting the parking brake the vehicle took off and crashed into a concrete abutment. That was fortunate or I would have gone on to a major highway Chryslyer examined the car twice and said there was nothing wrong. Chrysler refused to even answer the lemon law document. We traded the car in."

Arthur B., WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It has plenty of zip, and gets good gas mileage considering the size of the vehicle. I miss that the rear wing windows don't open. I like the curtain feature. I feel the rear view (outside) mirrors are too far back. You have to turn your head to check the mirror."

Anonymous, WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Good acceleration and smooth handling"

Anonymous, NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Chrysler did good!"

Anonymous, CA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"When the car is stopped but left in gear, it occasionally hesitates when accelerator is pressed. It never stalls but the gear shifting can be “rough‿. We have noted this with the dealer."

Anonymous, IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Great access operation, good handling, excellent mileage"

William L., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Good gas mileage and performance."

Anonymous, MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It is part of the new wave of safe travel."

James S., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It has nice acceleration relative to othe minivans I have driven."

Anonymous, WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This vehicle is great with respect to acceleration and handling. It takes curves with an easy touch of the wheel and does not drift in the road. I can push the accelerator and get up to speed quickly. I only do that if another vehicle is coming and I must move quickly to be out of the way. Generally, I increase speed a little slower to get better gas mileage. Acceleration and handling along with in-floor seat storage are the top positive factors in the Pacifica (in my opinion)."

Charlotte J., ME (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Other than this vehicle being a serious safety problem, it is a nive vehicle."

Arthur B., WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Quite engine. Shifts smoothly. Good acceleration. Handles well. Very Happy!"

W F., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Hugs the road and is fun to drive. Plenty of power. Lane control is excellent and keeps you in your lane."

Anonymous, VA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Been having problems with low speed shifting. Transmission hesitates like you have let off the throttle but you haven't. It then shifts extremely hard and slams into gear aggressively, Very frustrating as it is intermittent and not every time."

Phyllis M., AL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"ACCELERATION IS BETTER THAN EXPECTED. HANDLING IS GREAT DRIVING 5 OVER SPEED LIMIT ON COUNTY ROADS."

Anonymous, MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The Pacifica has the engine stop/start feature to increase mileage which I like after I got used to it. Some drivers liked it less. I think it's a matter of getting acclimated. I like the nine speed transmission more than say CR. Again it takes getting used to. I have found that it it has a fuzzy response when you first floor it, then it shifts as the engine RPM increases and off you go quite fast for such a large heavy vehicle. I never found it lacked acceleration and I pass fairly often. What I like the best about it is that with some attention and experience you can control engine RPMs hence gas consumption very nicely. The engine has good lugging ability so you can get the van to run uphill and even accelerate up hill at fairly high speeds in high gears. If you push on the accelerator it will shift down but with some judicious attention you can keep the engine RPM quite low, 1500 or less at high speeds and even going up hills."

James D., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It's new Pick up is slow"

DENISE N., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"car has a lot of zip"

Anonymous, PA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"I have owned over 20 vehicles. The steering wheel is way too THICK, diameter too big especially where I like to put my hands. Also important is that the power can't be the horse power advertised as it has to be pushed uphill with only 120 pound me in it! Seems to have LESS acceleration than my 2002 Altima at 187 hp. The driver side second row sliding door opens w/o input from me. I have actually returned to car to find that door open with valuables inside. If I get out of driver's seat and"

Anonymous, CA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It drives and handles like a solid car. Smooth ride and quiet. Acceleration and handling is crisp."

Anonymous, WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

What Owners Say

"The vehicle feels and rides like a high end luxury SUV. Teh seats are comfortable and supportive. I think it handles and rides better since the battery lowers the center of gravity."

Mark C., NJ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Seats are not comfortable at all on long trips."

Dwayne W., ID (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"We enjoy the vented seats. It is a very quiet vehicle. It has plenty of power and gets amazing mileage."

Anonymous, MN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Very comfortable. Drives and rides like a dream."

Michael Y., WA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Great ride and low noise level. For long rides seats could use a little more padding."

Thomas B., WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Ride is amazingly smooth and really quiet. Feels like driving a luxury car."

Anonymous, NC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Noisy cabin compared to other vehicles of this size."

Anonymous, NC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This car has the best most comfortable front seats I have ever owned and I have owned dozens of vehicles"

Anonymous, AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"My family loves everything about this car. The seats are all very comfortable, there is very little noise in the cabin when driving at highway speeds, and it has a very smooth and composed ride that belies the fact that you are driving an eight-passenger vehicle."

Michael P., NV (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Rides very well. It is quiet and there is little road noise. Bumps on the road are rarely felt. The seats are heated and cooled which make it nice in all kinds of temperatures."

Bob M., WA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Quietest vehicle I've ever been in. Ride is smooth. No rattles, or squeaks. Very comfortable all around."

Bob J., MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This is our first minivan and I am in love. With 3 kids, the convenience of a minivan is amazing. It holds so much stuff and fits all of us extremely comfortable. It drives very well and is a pleasure to take on trips. I couldn't be happier with this vehicle. And the plug in hybrid option is amazing. We plug it in every night and only use gasoline when we go on long trips. It is great!"

Anonymous, MN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The first car I have owned with a driver's seat that felt good to me without modification or add on back supports. Pleasingly firm ride. Low road and engine noise."

Anonymous, FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"First and foremost, the vehicle is very quiet. I like the ride. It feels predictable and controllable. I can drive for a long time without getting tired (compared to other vehicles). The seats are very comfortable with a large range of adjustment. The heated and ventilated seats are a huge comfort feature."

Anonymous, MN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"seats are so comfortable I will occasionally use them to rest and relax when not driving. WHile driving I get very little fatigue on long trips ( coupled with Adaptive Cruise Control)"

James P., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"On long trips it's very easy to get a comfortable & safe seating position. Wind & road noise are very minimal compared to other vehicles I have owned"

William S., AR (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The only area of concern is the second row seats. The seats themselves have been reduced in seat size and have been made stationary with no forward and back adjustment. This makes the second row seats a bit uncomfortable, especially for adults, especially for extended travel times."

Garry C., OH (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Great seats, low noise levels, and smooth ride."

Christopher B., MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"FRONT SEATS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE RIDE IS QUIET AND SMOOTH."

Thomas K., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Seats are comfortable for a while but on a long trip (12 hrs or more) I end up with a stiff neck and backache. The vehicle is supposed to have noise cancelling technology but I find it to be relatively noisy inside."

Anonymous, NC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Comfort for driver and passengers. Rear cooling/heating system"

Anonymous, CA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"We have owned Town & Country for many years and the 2017 Pacifica is “infinitely‿ quieter than the T&Cs."

John S., IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The vehicle has very little interior noise (besides the kids) and handles beautifully. It is fun to drive for a minivan."

Craig D., MN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"At times after long rides I find the drivers seat uncomfortable. My wife doesn't agree with me. Otherwise I love the ride and the noise level is very good. The braking system is wonderful."

Tom C., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"all seats (front seat, stow-and-go and rear) are very comfortable."

Steve C., TX (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Very comfortable driving ever. Like the ventilation system, gets seats cooled pretty quickly. Also heat up nicely. Just wish rear side windows still vented."

Ronald Z., IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The only thing I like about this car are the front seats, I have back issues and they are very comfortable. My back usually feels better after being in the car. When the fan is on you can not even hear the person sitting next to you it makes a LOT of noise"

Marsha M., IA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The ride is much stiffer and less compliant than I expected. I believe the suspension needs significant tuning to achieve a more comfortable ride. My 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan had a much smoother ride. This is a disappointment to me for this totally redesigned vehicle."

Anonymous, NJ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Great ride, road noise is quieter than our 2013 T&C."

William L., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"A smooth, quiet ride. comfortable leather seats, easily adjusted. very good acceleration and handling. A great car for long distance drives."

Anonymous, NC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"For a large open cabin vehicle road noise and engine noise are almost non existence. Car rides really nice, drove on a 3000 mile trip and it was a joy."

Anonymous, FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Church quiet inside and very comfortable seats. The power seats have so many adjustments I can always find a position that feels good. Ride is very smooth, even on rough roads and for a van it has very responsive handling."

David F., TN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"More comfortable than the previous leather I had in my other van"

Anonymous, FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It not as quiet as I would like"

Jason S., AL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Everything seems easy to operate, the seats are comfortable and it is a smooth ride. There is some "creaking" at times that can be annoying and I need to investigate what this is caused by but otherwise we really enjoy the Pacifica."

Mark O., MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The seats on the Pacifica are very comfortable for me (I'm short). The car is very quiet. So much so that it is very easy to allow speed to increase without realizing it."

Charles C., MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The cabin noise level was quieter than any previous vehicle I have owned. Road noise was minimal, and only noticeable on rough surfaces. The ride is smooth with no discernible body-roll. I am able to drive thru a freeway interchange at full speed with confidence in the handling at high speeds. Lastly, I love the flexibility, versatility, comfort and design of the 8 seats in my model. Especially the Stow-n-Go features. I think the integration of the U-Connect Theater screen on the back of the front seats is genius."

Bryan G., AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"On long drives could use more lumbar support."

Anonymous, CA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"I like how the interior is quiet in part because of the noise cancellation. I do hear the engine, which I know some professional reviewers commented on, however, I am an engine guy and do like to hear it."

Anonymous, IA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"very quiet,"

James T., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This car is extremely comfortable to drive. It's very quiet most of the time, so hearing the engine when I accelerate is sometimes a surprise."

Marcia L., GA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Great engineering, comfort, styling. Not good is tire noise in cabin that may be the type of tire."

Anonymous, IN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The Ride is excellent, better than the Odyessey and the Sienna. Interior is very quiet. Feel like an expensive luxury verhicle. The front seats have lots of adjustment including Lumbar support but I still had some lower back pain on long hauls. I added a cushion to the drivers seat and now all is well."

Richard S., ON (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"leather seats are stiff and board like. I would like more lateral support."

Carl B., VA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Ride is much more cushioned than the Honda and quieter.Seats are very comfortable and highly adjustable"

Anonymous, AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"We love the heated, adjustable leather front seats. They are the most comfortable seats we have ever had in an automobile. My wife has medical conditions that are helped greatly by the heated front seat on a long ride. Passengers have remarked positively on the leather second row captains seats. The self storage aspect of the Pacifica seating is marvelous and very useful. One minute you have a comfortable seven seat van and the next an empty van to lend to a friend for an errand. I use the van with the back seats up and down as needed. Very easy. You can thrown in a bike or a dog in a flash."

James D., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Rides very well over previous mini-vans I have owned. A little noisy (road noise) while driving on highway. Seats are comfortable."

M G., MO (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Front seats are not comfortable for very large people. Our 2008 Grand Caravan seats were more comfortable. Drivers lumbar support and electric seat are great features on the base model."

"Most comfortable car I've ever owned."

Keith E., MN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"One of the rear passenger seats developed a small tear after less than a year. Chrysler is refusing to treat this as a defect in quality / workmanship even though both of the other current vehicles that I have owned have used the same model car seats for 11+ years combined with no seat damage. Both models had leather seats."

Daniel E., KY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Occasional wind noise on driver's side with windows closed tightly. Seats are very firm and only somewhat supportive. Ride is firmer than expected."

Anonymous, AK (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Seats are comfortable. Noise is a problem. In eV mode the care is very quiet. In hybrid mode it has whines and sounds which sound crude. The contrast with the quietness of eV mode probably makes the noise in hybrid mode seem worse."

Keith M., GA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Seats provide adequate support. The vehicle is quiet at highway speeds and rides serenely."

Anonymous, MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"All seats including last row rear seats are very comfortable and adjustable"

Anonymous, NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This vehicle exceeded my expectations. Extremely quiet and comfortable ride. Engine is very smooth and quiet and gets excellent mileage. Minivans are about function and versatility and there is no other minivan that is as functional as this one. Love the way the seats all fold in to the floor to turn this in to a hauler. The "hands-free" sliding doors and lift gate are great features. With college age kids this van has great features for hauling everything from beds and furniture to books and clothes. After having the Stow n Go feature and "hands-free" sliding doors and lift gate, I would not buy any van that did not have them. This is our 5th minivan and it is by far the nicest one. I would, (and do) highly recommend this product."

Stan F., IA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Very quiet, smooth ride, comfortable and supportive seats"

Anonymous, MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Seats are not comfortable, period. My 1994 Town and Country which I still own, has seats which are so far superior to this car and most modern cars that I am dumbfounded that modern seats are so bad. More important than seat comfort is overall bad ergonomics in the Pacifica. Severe windshield rake means head bumps for even 5" passengers. Wide A pillars block driver view to the right when entering intersections. The van is needlessly wide, while providing no more interior width as compared to previous Chrysler vans."

Vincent K., IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"A great car. Convenience for hauling people or goods. A great ride, quiet for a van, and great for distance driving."

Anonymous, DE (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Lots of wind noise when the wind level is high outside. When driving with a stronger wind, the windows produce lots of noise. On a calm day the car rides reasonably quiet for its size. The seats are very comfortable and we like the ride. The leather seats are comfortable, including the adjustable drivers seat."

"The Pacifica is very comfortable, handles very well, extremely quiet, good visibility and very adaptable with cargo."

Jim S., AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It's a super comfortable to drive car, and very comfortable for passengers as well. I have 2 kids that are in car seats and there's still PLENTY of room in the front seat even if they're rear facing (which was NOT the case in my 2014 Ford Explorer). The ride is SO smooth and quiet."

Camille K., WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The ride comfort is good. The suspension could be slightly firmer. Car was extremely quiet at first, but has developed a pronounced road noise. the seats are comfortable and the 2nd row folds into the floor easily."

Frank S., IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The seats are too hard. On a trip you become almost sore. The seat backs are too concave and the head rest causes my head to tilt down. I have to either sit up straight without touching the back of the seat or use a posture pillow which wiggles around. With the posture pillow I was able to drive 8 hours straight without fatigue, but without the posture pillow an hour or two is too much."

Corinne A., VA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Good handling, comfort, and quite ride."

"Very quiet when running electric. Negative: active noise cancelling system does not dampen wheel noise."

Hank W., IN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Super plush, comfortable, quiet. Well thought out. 5th minivan for my wife and I...best overall design BY FAR. If reliability were better then this would be the best minivan ever put on the road."

Anonymous, TX (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It rides so quiet that I have to watch my speed as my senses normally tell my speed by the rode noise."

Anonymous, AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"First of all, we LOVE our Pacifica and really wish we could have gotten the hybrid, but it had too long of a wait. We have tons of good to say about the air-conditioned seats, the 360-view camera, the stow-and-go spaces, U-Connect entertainment system, and more. The only bad things are sort of bad, though: the seats and the sliding doors. About the seats, the rear power-folding seats nearly pinned & crushed my 15-year-old athletic daughter after my wife accidentally pressed the close button while packing the trunk. Nothing would stop it--not the opposite button, not any other button, not my wife, me, AND my daughter muscling it. Luckily she thought enough to unbuckle before she was pinned, but she was still squeezed (although not injured) against the middle seat since it was positioned pretty far back. Soon after this we called Chrysler and was told they would get back to us within 24 hours (with what I have no idea) and it has been over a week with no reply. A week later the other rear seat stopped working with the back folded down and the seat bottom still in position (very inconvenient). The driver-side sliding door had issues as soon as we bought it in Aug. 2017. We pointed out to the seller that twice it would not close out of the first five tries. The following 10 tries worked so we took it. By Nov. we had enough problems with it that we took it to the shop. They spent three weeks figuring out what was wrong and fixing it (one more week and we have a lemon per Maryland law)."

Stephen B., MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Stow and go seats lack adequate padding. long rides get uncomfortable. the noise is very good and the ride is exceptional."

Anonymous, IA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The driver side seat is just about perfect. both my husband 6'1" and I 5'2" can adjust the seat to be able to look out comfortably. The seats are heated (what a blessing!) We don't usually carry passengers and I think the seats in the back are not as comfortable as the front row seat. My husband complains that the passenger seat is not as comfortable as the driver seat. He uses a cushion when he has to sit there for long periods of time."

Anonymous, IL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"I have owned 12 new cars over the years and this is the most comfortable. Compared to a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country the seats and quiet ride are remarkably improved, and I liked the older model."

"I had a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan and this 2017 Pacifica is light years better in having a smooth and quiet ride. Seats seem very comfortable."

CRAIG B., MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Chrysler kept the stow and go features from the Town and Country, the seating is more comfortable and accessible, the interior noise level is comfortable and infotainment, while initially a bit overwhelming, turned out to be straight forward, somewhat intuitive and easy to learn . Voice commands a big plus."

PAUL C., IN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

What Owners Say

"Great resale potential"

Anonymous, OR (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Love this car, much better than the Lexus even! Very intuitive touch screen, excellent GPS navigation, smooth ride with great gas mileage (gets 28-30 mpg on highway!), and very quiet ride also. And I LOVE the stow-away 2nd row seats, so much better than the Odyssey we had previous, and his is a nice looking vehicle also. Can't say enough good about this vehicle, just love it!"

Michael G., OH (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"We love this car. It is roomy, comfortable (surprising for a minivan) and has all the features you would want and then some. We have the limited model and there is nothing you would want to add in features. Easy to get into and out, great for loading grandkids and loads of stuff. A great car, FCA has hit the mark with this car."

Kenneth W., DE (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Good price for the size/quality"

Anonymous, CA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Prices from dealerships were all over the board. With Chrysler's track record of reliability, these Pacifica's should probably be priced lower."

Richard S., WI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"Many unexpected features standard on the base model at a price thousands lower than the competition. The StorNGo seats are best in class and now much easier to store and to open."

Gregory M., TX (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"I purchased a Hybrid Pacifica and am very pleased with it in almost all areas. With the federal tax credit, the cost of the Hybrid Limited I purchased was substantially less than a comparably equipped gasoline version. I do not understand why I don't see more of them on the road. It's a great deal and provides substantial fuel savings."

Andrew J., SC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The fuel efficiency is amazing for a car this size. Except for long trips, I only refill every other month because I drive on electric most of the time. The cost of the hybrid was similar to the gas version, but this car came with so many safety features and upgrades."

Marcia L., GA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"It is the most wonderful vehicle I have driven."

"We have had 2 Volvos (XC90s), Nissan Pathfinder, and Buick Enclave (2013) and this minivan is much better than any of these especially in overall functionality, comfort, "to date" reliability, and gas mileage. Have 22000 miles of experience with this vehicle and am very pleased so far---has exceeded my expectations."

Frederick F., SC (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This vehicle doesnt get the respect it deserves as minivans are not in vogue right now but it has all the room power, great handling and versatility of many SUVs and trucks but lower center of gravity, better milage. just as quiet, a pleasure to drive."

"Most days I drive solely on electric (<35 miles). Roomy but handles almost like a sports vehicle. Steering very responsive, excellent climate control. $ 7500 tax credit was very nise!"

T B., NE (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"We have had to take vehicle back to dealer at least 5 times for same issue; Check Engine Light. After I contacted Chrysler it seems they have finally fixed it. It took almost a year! I have a disabled husband this caused a real hardship!"

Maryann P., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"I bought this van for comfort, handling, mileage, and versatility. There is no other van or SUV that has the combination of features that this vehicle has. Love it!"

Stan F., IA (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"all models have the same mechanicals, it is just the advanced electronics on the higher priced models. Great having the interior volume, and having seating for 8 and for 5 without getting into the rear seat."

Donald G., IN (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"This is a terrible product produced by Chrysler . It’s been in the shop at least two dozen times in the past 2yrs. Nothing ever is completely fixed and Chrysler couldn’t care less even their case workers do nothing and are very rude. Do not buy this van unless you want to have 50/50 custody of it with the mechanic. Not to mention having to have the radiator replaced at 30,000 miles is asinine. For $42000+ vehicle I’d exapect it to last but it definitely isn’t going to last 100000 miles!"

Anonymous, OK (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"We have been very pleased with this purchase. We are very pleased with the safety features and we have no complaint with any of the other characteristics of the van. It is the best car we have ever owned and the screen responds when the buttons are pushed."

James S., NY (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"excellent combination of features that I wanted. didn't have to buy some options I didn't want to get options I did want."

James T., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"As I said previously I have never been happier with a new vehicle. The Pacifica is more then just a new name. The van has been completely redesigned and is better in many respects then its predecessors."

Gary M., MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

Styling

What Owners Say

"Center console should have a few compartments. Not happy with the current design"

DONALD D., AZ (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"The 2017 exterior styling looks so much better than my boxy 2012 Grand Caravan did. It looks like they really tried hard to make the interior look nice."

CRAIG B., MI (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"We were really drawn to the new design, and the new electronic options. Sometimes it is a risk to buy a new design in the first year that it is available so we did buy the total warranty. It gives a great ride, has a LOT of room in the interior, it gives you a great view of the road when driving and all of this is important to us."

MARYANN P., FL (2017 Chrysler Pacifica)

"front styled like the Chrysler 200 which is being discontinued. Rear styling is just ugly. But this is our 14th Chrysler minivan and we like them and have never had a problem with them."
