Want an old-school large American sedan, brash and bold, packing V8 muscle and a soundtrack that punctuates its lack of political correctness? That's the Dodge Charger. Just don't tell anyone that it's also refined, comfortable, and luxurious. After all, it's got a macho image to protect.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Owner Satisfaction with:

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"Acceleration is "off the chart". Holds corners great. Lane assist really helps sometimes. Though I wouldn't recommend using it on back country roads when you have to go around cyclists. It may tend to pull you back to the edge of the road! Sport mode is amazing to use on curving country roads."

GREG M., CA (2016 Dodge Charger)

"The car is large and heavy, but with 475 HP, and the sound of the 6.4L Hemi, it more than makes up for the fact that the car is based on an entry level large car."

RICHARD P., MI (2016 Dodge Charger)

"I love the way the motor winds up so quickly and FCA/SRT got the intake howl and exhaust sound PERFECT I have a 10.85 quarter mile street car ( 1970 big block nova) and my SRT charger is way more fun to drive .... Great job SRT......"

PAUL M., TX (2016 Dodge Charger)

"the car has a lot of power and is quick. There is plenty of power for merging in traffic and passing. This impressive for being a large car, especially since I am driving the most basic trim level."

Anonymous, MI (2016 Dodge Charger)

"This car has the 300 HP V-6 Penta-star engine. Very quick acceleration. Passes like a rocket. Really comes alive up around 70 mph."

DENNIS W., WA (2016 Dodge Charger)

"Love the handling! The AWD was essential during a snowstorm in Chicago. No issues. And when I need to "punch it", it got me where I needed to go. Love my charger!"

David Z., TX (2016 Dodge Charger)

Dennis W., WA (2016 Dodge Charger)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"We traveled out of state in 90 degree weather and through storms was was completely comfortable. The handling on the mountains was spectacular!"

Anonymous, IL (2016 Dodge Charger)

"Seats - always thought lumbar support was important - not so, this car doesn't have it yet the seats are very comfortable."

Anonymous, IL (2016 Dodge Charger)

"Ride is much quiter and smoother than our Mazda 6. Seats are also better fitting and comfortable on long trips."

Leroy C., WA (2016 Dodge Charger)

"Provides a blend of comfotable, supportive seating with a relatively smooth ride."

Thomas R., VA (2016 Dodge Charger)

"I just finished a 2900 mile road trip in two weeks (business and pleasure), and never felt cramped or tired. The seat seems to fit me perfectly. The ride was smooth sailing. It handled the bumpy roads to a campsite to the smooth open roads of the highways.and every back road in between. I drove through many rainstorms and the car kept out most of the noise."

Anonymous, IL (2016 Dodge Charger)

"Charger is very quiet going down the road most of the time (unless you really mash the loud pedal. A comfortable 4 door large hi performance car.And if you drive it like a sane person I can get up to 32 mpg at Arizona's speed limit of 75mph plus.. Just got back from a 5,000 mile trip to Calagary, AB. Canada and back. The Charger was in it's element. And this trip was on back roads up to Calgary and freeways on the return home. If you like a large car I would recommend this car. No problems (repairs) other than routine maintenance so far."

Dannie F., AZ (2016 Dodge Charger)

"I just love the charger. The seats are very comfortable and supportive, tbe car is great."

Robert M., MI (2016 Dodge Charger)

"Seats are very comfortable with lots of adjustment. The ride is solid and handling is good."

RICHARD P., MI (2016 Dodge Charger)
