The redesigned for 2004 Ford F-150 represents a significant improvement over the previous model. It rides more comfortably, handles more nimbly, and has a quieter interior with better fit and finish. Movable overhead storage consoles and an optional power sliding rear window are nice additions. The F-150's powertrain delivers reasonable acceleration and fuel economy for the class.

“The electric windows have failed often. The cable comes loose from the pulleys and the glass falls into the door pocket. The part to replace is around $250 and labor around $175. Since I have owned the truck the drives side has failed once, front passenger side twice and the rear drives side once. Either a poor design or poorly made parts. This would make me consider a different make for my next truck”

“First of all I have had this vehicle since new in Jan. 2004. I have religiously done the recommended maintenance through my local Ford dealership. Have complete vehicle maintenance history on dealership computer spreadsheets. Had two successive incidents of engine overheat and radiator hose blowing off the coupling and spewing coolant throughout the engine compartment. Had dealer check the radiator, water pump and thermostat and then changed to new coolant. A week later the same thing happened”
