What Owners Say
"Love the luxurious interior and drive"
Anonymous, NY (2017 GMC Acadia)"Excellent handling for a large car."
Joanne-Scott O., NY (2017 GMC Acadia)"Great ride, the new engine with more horsepower AND better gas mileage is a terrific addition;"
Thomas C., IL (2017 GMC Acadia)"6 cyl. responds well & gives quick acceleration upon entering a freeway or passing another vehicle. It holds the road well on curves and is confident in any avoidance maneuvers; handles very well for a fairly large SUV."
Willard S., MD (2017 GMC Acadia)"Decent mph and handles trips very well."
Anonymous, WI (2017 GMC Acadia)"Very fast, crisp handling."
Anonymous, NY (2017 GMC Acadia)"Have new model (not Legacy). Driver assist package is very good overall, but following distance deceleration is often too abrupt and too severe. Vehicle needs eight-speed rather than six-speed transmission. Excessive acceleration lag when trying to increase highway speed (such as for passing). Steering is very smooth and brakes are very good."
Anonymous, TX (2017 GMC Acadia)"When fully loaded it will accelerate and handle well."
James G., CT (2017 GMC Acadia)"Good acceleration and handling. Too much road noise and ride is not as good as it should be on less smooth pavement surfaces. I would expect more from a premium model."
Wayne O., TX (2017 GMC Acadia)"I love the performance of this vehicle. It handles more like a car than an SUV. It's most noticeable at freeway speeds when you need it. Like going up or down a mountain pass that has some sharp turns. Interstate sharp anyway. I took a long road trip with another family in a 10 year old Honda Odyssey, and there were times when they just could not keep up! I would have to wait to regroup, and post discussions revealed a difference in vehicles. The acceleration is always immediate. No turbo lag, no pedal delay, just immediate response to your pedal input, and lots of it!"
Glen S., WI (2017 GMC Acadia)"strong & smooth V-6 with power to make passes on highway quickly; immediate responsiveness to get out of highway situations that might become worrisome. handles very well on curvy roads & turns; holds the road well; allows for confident driving"
Willard S., MD (2017 GMC Acadia)"I live in the mountains and the acceleration on the steep inclines is slow. Fine once it gets going but slow to get there."
Mary B., NJ (2017 GMC Acadia)"For a large vehicle with a 6 cylinder engine, the performance is very impressive. Smooth ride and very good handling."
Sam K., OH (2017 GMC Acadia)"solid feel while driving"
Stanley T., MN (2017 GMC Acadia)"Handling and power I generally find good. At times when slowing for a turning vehicle etc., I find when it comes to time to accelerate there can be a slight lag."
Anonymous, NY (2017 GMC Acadia)"Fun to drive and very comfortable"
Anonymous, NV (2017 GMC Acadia)"Very secure feeling at high speed. Hyway acceleration is as good as our former Taho. Both handling and acceleration are very good. O"
Ronald R., MO (2017 GMC Acadia)"Acceleration has greatly improved comparing it to the last generation of Acadia that I drove"
Michael S., NY (2017 GMC Acadia)"Peppy acceleration"
Anonymous, PA (2017 GMC Acadia)"Acceleration is superb for this large SUV and handling is great. No negatives to report."
Ed J., SC (2017 GMC Acadia)"Very good smmoth acceleration. Good fuel economy."
Richard H., PA (2017 GMC Acadia)"acceleration very good for a big car"
Anonymous, PA (2017 GMC Acadia)"fuel economy is very good."
Anonymous, NJ (2017 GMC Acadia)"This car is so much better than the 2014 Ford Explorer it replaced. Acceleration is great with no turbo-lag like the Explorer had and fuel economy is much better. Does better than EPA rating on the highway. Feels very stable yet comfortable on the road."
Brian N., FL (2017 GMC Acadia)"the 6 cyl engine works great, but I really, really, dread having to have the stop/start engine in the next vehicle, even to the point of going to another manufacturer where on/off is an option. GM gives you no option to turn it off."
David A., MI (2017 GMC Acadia)"Handles wet and snowy roads very well."
David B., NY (2017 GMC Acadia)"Very fast and superb handling"
Anonymous, MI (2017 GMC Acadia)"Very responsive, handles well in traffic and open road."
Anonymous, SD (2017 GMC Acadia)"Excellent acceleration and adaptive cruise"
Anonymous, TX (2017 GMC Acadia)"Very good ride and acceleration. It is very nimble with good steering response."
Jimmy T., OK (2017 GMC Acadia)"Extremely fast accelerating SUV!. Hold on!!!!!!!!!!!"
Terry O., TX (2017 GMC Acadia)"The V6 has great acceleration ln fact if pushed to hard it will easily spin the front tires . This suv corners very well."
Wayne D., IN (2017 GMC Acadia)"It is to small. I liked our Tahoe much better!"
Steve W., TX (2017 GMC Acadia)"This car has unreal snap and acceleration. punch it when passing and it pushes you back into the seat and hits 80-90 mph quickly. steering is very quick."
Anonymous, MN (2017 GMC Acadia)"thought I would get better gas mileage"
Anonymous, FL (2017 GMC Acadia)"Outstanding performance and handling."
Anonymous, MI (2017 GMC Acadia)"Nice handling vehicle."

Anonymous, NY (2017 GMC Acadia)"The accelerations is great and handling is very nice."
Carl K., MI (2017 GMC Acadia)"I have had many problems with the "park" on the transmission lever. While the dash indicator and the transmission lever say I am in "park" the computer says that I am not. The dealer has not been able to fix this annoyance."
Anonymous, NY (2017 GMC Acadia)"Great acceleration, small turning radius"
Anonymous, AZ (2017 GMC Acadia)"I like the Acadia. It does not handle well in the snow even after turning the traction button."
Anonymous, IN (2017 GMC Acadia)"adaptive cruise control"
Anonymous, NE (2017 GMC Acadia)"I'm not used to the lesser power yet. I wish it had more power on accelertion"
Anonymous, TX (2017 GMC Acadia)"Easy to handle."
Anonymous, MN (2017 GMC Acadia)"So comfortable to drive. Great acceleration. Love the feature where the car slows down on its own when the cruise is set as you get close to a car in front of you."
Anonymous, WI (2017 GMC Acadia)"It is just very responsive in aceleration and handling!"
Thomas M., NM (2017 GMC Acadia)"The performance from the Acadia is unexpected from a crossover. It has very strong acceleration. Handling is good for a crossover."
Anonymous, CT (2017 GMC Acadia)"MY Acadia has strong and smooth acceleration and tight precise handling. It has minimal body roll while providing a nice comfortable ride."
Roger H., IL (2017 GMC Acadia)"lighter, shorter, and 29 more hp. responds to accelerator not just whines firm handling much better than our previous Acadia and Enclave Fun to drive"
Anonymous, NY (2017 GMC Acadia)
"The Acadia handles as well as the Tahoe did."
Ronald R., MO (2017 GMC Acadia)
