After 3 dealer service visits where hoses were replaced on condenser, service manager determined issue was the electronic climate control head under dash. After waiting 6 weeks for new control head, it was installed and the issue appears to be fixed (waiting for extended FL summer heat to be sure). All work and parts to date were covered under warrant"

Anonymous, CA (2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 5.3-L V8)"Condenser cracked at mounting bracket leaking refrigerant. This is a known issue with many 2014-19 GM vehicles using the same part. Parts were not available anyplace except third party vendors that the dealership would not use because the repairs were to be done under my extended warranty. I complained to the Dealership, GM, and the WA Insurance commissioner. They finally agreed to buy one from 800 Radiators and warranty it as an OEM part. It took 5 weeks to get it back as I left it at the dealership as it was clear they had lots of other customers waiting for the same part. Very disappointed in GM as the part is subject to a service bulletin but I still had to pay the deductible under my extended warranty ($200)."

Mechanic told me that he has had several GMC trucks come into his shop with the same issue.
