Like the regular-duty version of the Sierra Chevrolet Silverado, the heavy-duty version has been redesigned. The 2500 and 3500 HD models are offered in two- and four-wheel drive as well as the dual rear-wheel setup known as a 'dually.' Three bed configurations are available: a six-foot, six-inch standard; eight-foot long; and the Dually long. The standard engine is a 353-hp, 6.0-liter V8.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"It is a big machine we use to haul a slide-in camper. It is quite noisy and the ride is not smooth but that is the nature of larger trucks. The seats are very comfortable, the sound system is above average and the climate control system is very good. We find it a very easy vehicle to travel cross-country with."

John F., NC (2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD)

"The seat is a little too big for me (5'6"). my 6' tall husband thinks it is perfect"

Karen B., WA (2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD)

"Seats in the front and rear of this car are comfortable and suitable for four people for a longer ride. Noise is not noticeable and front seats have great adjustment capability."

Anonymous, VT (2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD)

"It has power, heated seats and lumbar adjustments, which is nice. It is quiet - more quiet than most diesels, and rides very comfortably for a 4X4 pickup. Love how it handles and is fun to drive, both off road and on."
