What Owners Say
"Very powerful acceleration."
Kathy E., PA (2018 Honda Accord)"It is a joy to have plenty of power available at all times. Passing has become safer. Smooth and economical engine"
Anonymous, WI (2018 Honda Accord)"I particularly like the assisted driving features; i.e., lane keeping, backup detection, adaptive cruise control, etc."
Anonymous, OH (2018 Honda Accord)"Turbo aids the acceleration on and off freeways. Very responsive and very solid."
Anonymous, MI (2018 Honda Accord)"Several driving options, all of which provide excellent feel, control, and good power if the sport mode is selected, and sufficient if economy is chosen."
Anonymous, FL (2018 Honda Accord)"The Accord drives like a car a segment smaller than it is. At the same time, with the EX 17 inch wheels, it also rides very well."
Meagan M., TX (2018 Honda Accord)"The 19" wheels on the 2.0 Sport makes for an uncomfortable ride for the driver at highway speeds, even on smooth surfaces. My 2015 V coupe had 18" wheels and had a much smoother ride than the 19" 40's on this car. The hood on the 2. cars tends to flutter quite a bit. A Honda Regional Field Tech was able to do a field repair, under warranty, in order to stop the fluttering."
Daryl S., OH (2018 Honda Accord)"Excellent acceleration from 2.0 turbo engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. Excellent handling also."
Tom F., NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Decent acceleration in 'Sport' mode. Steering and handling are too soft when in 'Sport' mode. (I have the EX-L version, which does not adjust the steering and suspension depending on mode, as does the Touring version)"
Anonymous, AZ (2018 Honda Accord)"Best brakes very sharp. This is my third Honda"
Gwendolyn M., MD (2018 Honda Accord)"The 2.0 has great acceleration when needed. The car feels very solid and has been great for getting up to speed on interstate merges."
John M., PA (2018 Honda Accord)"The CVT transmission is new to me and there is a learning curve. Overall it feels like an old manual transmission with a slipping clutch. I don’t care for it or the push button shif selector."
David L., FL (2018 Honda Accord)"Car has great acceleration for a 2.0L engine and the car handles well for a mid-size car."
Lynwood K., TX (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration, handling, fit and finish, roomy backseat, updated styling. I did experience some sort of electrical freak out that put the engine in limp mode but was corrected after restarting the car."
Joshua F., FL (2018 Honda Accord)"The radar to torque lane control is very good, the distance cruising behind cars is a little difficult getting used to."
Richard D., NJ (2018 Honda Accord)"fuel economy, ada[tove cruise control, improved audio system"
Peter G., ON (2018 Honda Accord)"excellent handling best gas-mileage"
Anonymous, CA (2018 Honda Accord)"2.0t engine is smooth, economical and powerful. Ride is firm, controlled but supple. Handling is precise and quick. Virtually no torque steer (I’ve never felt any)z"
Robert W., FL (2018 Honda Accord)"4 cylinder engine is remarkably fast on acceleration and passing. Handles beautifully."
John P., NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Satisfying acceleration. Smooth transmission. Good steering feel. Confident cornering."
Douglas R., WI (2018 Honda Accord)"Good power, acceleration that matches my previous 2014 V6 accord with better gas mileage by 2-3 mpg. Ten speed automatic transmission is much better than old 6 speed."
Anonymous, VA (2018 Honda Accord)"When approaching the topic of hybrid technology and the associated expectation for improved gas mileage with less emissions, one would expect somewhat less acceleration; and when approaching the topic of purchasing a sedan that is reasonably priced, one would expect less than sport handling; however, the 2018 Honda Accord, hybrid, touring model not only accelerates without trepidation, it hugs the ground, and requires well over-the-speed-limit efforts to push the envelope of handling limitations. It is a wonderful feeling to enter a freeway at speed with what seems to be very little throttle peddle action, in addition to making quick turns without any sense of over or understeer."
Dale D., AZ (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration is beyond our expectation and there is hardly any turbo lag noticeable. Brakes are excellent."
Anonymous, ON (2018 Honda Accord)"Handles very well and accelerates very well when we need it to."
Anonymous, PA (2018 Honda Accord)"2.0 turbo is really quick in Sport mode, also pretty quick in Eco mode. Handling also changes in Sport mode - suspension & steering etc. 10 speed transmission is smooth and reacts quickly"
Thomas T., FL (2018 Honda Accord)"The car handles nicely, it has turbo which I like (I like the noise when accelerating)."
David F., CT (2018 Honda Accord)"Excellent acceleration for the gas mileage. Handling is good in normal mode, better in sport mode."
Anonymous, CO (2018 Honda Accord)"great acceleration . good handling and braking."
Peter Y., CA (2018 Honda Accord)"I was surprised and pleased by the acceleration when merging into Interstate Highways. Very good for only 90 cubic inches. I also like the rather quick response steering included in the EX-L."
Anonymous, FL (2018 Honda Accord)"2.0 Turbo has more than adequate torque and very good acceleration. Handling is very good for a car of this size."
Anonymous, VA (2018 Honda Accord)"It is very quiet, rides like a Mercedes my dad had years ago, has good acceleration and handling. I know exactly where I am on the road. The automatic braking when approaching a car ahead is great."
Janet B., NE (2018 Honda Accord)"Responsive 1.5L Turbo charged engine. A little motor with good acceleration. The CVT works ( no torque steer issues). Sporty handling for a sedan. A drivers car."
Jeffrey C., CA (2018 Honda Accord)"The engine combined with the automatic transmission has some pep when you need it. Fits my petite wife better."
Edith C., VA (2018 Honda Accord)"lots of power - turbo works great"
Anonymous, GA (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration is very good in normal mode but not smooth in economy mode. Handling is excellent."
Douglas M., NJ (2018 Honda Accord)"The 2.0 turbo engine with the 10 speed automatic transmission has excellent acceleration. The transmission shifts smoothly and is really quiet."
M P., MA (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration is more then sufficient, sure the 2.0T is faster, but also the fuel economy is not as good. The handling is sharp and responsive for this size of car"
Anonymous, MI (2018 Honda Accord)"Good - lots of torque down-low. Bad - Turbo lag, no top-end power (torque drops-off). Much prefer the feel of a naturally-aspirated engine."
Anonymous, TX (2018 Honda Accord)"Car drives and handles very well. First Honda we have owned. Believe feel bumps more than Camry which this Honda replaced. One selling feature over Camry is Honda (own the Touring model) has CarPlay."
Anonymous, CT (2018 Honda Accord)"Very good in combo with room and economy."
Gary H., OH (2018 Honda Accord)"The 2.0 turbo engine has better acceleration than our previous model with its V6 engine."
Terry F., GA (2018 Honda Accord)"Surprisingly quick acceleration and precise handling."
Leonard S., MD (2018 Honda Accord)"Extremely responsive and fun to drive. 2.0T is a great replacement for the 6-cyl. Gets great gas milage and the "Sport" setting transforms the care into a whole new experience, AWESOME."
Anonymous, VA (2018 Honda Accord)"This car handles very well, stays planted during turns, and rides smoothly. The engine has very good acceleration through the majority of the power band. Midrange acceleration is very good."
Anonymous, AZ (2018 Honda Accord)"The acceleration and torque are awesome. Even going freeway speed there is plenty of power to accelerate to pass. The handling is crisp with good feedback."
Evan H., CA (2018 Honda Accord)"the power from the 2.0T is excellent and well matched to 10spd automatic transmission. The handelliing is excellent, verging on sporty. This is the best long distance cruiser I've ever owned, but its also fun on backroads too."
Daniel K., NJ (2018 Honda Accord)"The throttle does not give a jump from a dead stop and accelerates impressively under mid to large throttle input. Very comfortable and feels well planted during high-speed turns. Idle is rough with the 2.0T and transmissions shift are abrupt during slow accelerations."
Anonymous, OH (2018 Honda Accord)"The new turbo addresses the one shortcoming I thought the 4 cylinder Accord had and that was acceleration. Entering an expressway no longer is a stressful situation. This 4 cylinder takes off as fast as a 6 cylinder. The handling is tighter in the new Accord and provides a more sporty feel to the car. Much improved."
Wallace D., MI (2018 Honda Accord)"The 2.0T and 10 speed transmission exceptionally engaging with all the torque and acceleration one would possibly need in all circumstances on public roads. The handling in all traffic conditions is exceptionally smooth and provides a very confident and safe experience."
Anonymous, ON (2018 Honda Accord)"Great acceleration, very smooth acceleration. Lots of power with 1.5 L engine."
Freddy P., AB (2018 Honda Accord)"power is immediate from just off idle all the way to redline/2,0t w/10 speed automatic is a match made in heaven--handling is secure--no twitchiness in steering/just point and go -- 3 driving settings/economy/standard/sport (firmed suspension, faster steering, recalibrated tranny)"
Steve K., IN (2018 Honda Accord)"Excellent acceleration, quiet"
Anonymous, OH (2018 Honda Accord)"It's a dream of a car. The backup camera is especially useful when parking in strip malls."
B L., NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration, ride, and handling are outstanding for this class pf vehicle."
Anonymous, IL (2018 Honda Accord)"The acceleration in Eco mode is suprisingly good. There is a sport mode but I rarely use it. As far as handling, the turning radius is not as tight as I expected."
Thomas M., FL (2018 Honda Accord)"Very good acceleration and handling, compares to my Acura TL witch is excellent."
Morris A., TN (2018 Honda Accord)"My 2 liter turbo blows off most BMWs, Audis, Mercedes, Volvos, etc. with aplomb. For a relatively big car it holds curves securely and agilely."
Rosa K., NJ (2018 Honda Accord)"Handles well. Corners well. Acceleration is top-notch."
Robert H., SC (2018 Honda Accord)"Very smooth handling, best steering wheel feel, no issues about acceleration"
Muhanmad J., CA (2018 Honda Accord)"Amazing pickup, 0-60 in less than 7 seconds"
Danny S., KY (2018 Honda Accord)"Our first trip from St. Paul to Madison, WI we got an average of 41 MPG down and back. Subsequent trips our highway mileage has been 40 MPG or better. The acceleration is remarkable but with a slight delay when the foot is tromped to the floor. It may be due to the ECO button being always engaged? I love the feel of the Lane keeping assist system as it almost feels like it would steer the car for you if the lane curves or if you wander towards the edge of the lane. I feel very much in control of the car and the steering feels tighter than with our previous cars. It is just a joy to drive and I feel much safer (especially with our ages!)."
Jack B., MN (2018 Honda Accord)"I am very satisfied with and surprised with the performance and gas mileage."
William C., FL (2018 Honda Accord)"Everything stands out in driving: acceleration and handling, comfort and passenger room, trunk space, braking, steering, cornering, and the many safety features built in such as blind spot and back-up camera notification, lane correction and spacing between vehicles while using cruise control, collision warning. This car is the absolute top of the line in every respect, bar none. It is obvious that Honda has spent a lot of time in the Engineering design and technological improvements in creating this car."
Brian S., GA (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration in economy mode is adequate, in normal drive mode, good, in sport mode very good although it will use more fuel"
Philip K., MN (2018 Honda Accord)"The 2.0 Turbo is a powerhouse. The acceleration and smooth is incredible for a 4 cylinder engine. Does not compromise gas mileage."
Anonymous, NH (2018 Honda Accord)"Excellent handling and road feel"
H F., WA (2018 Honda Accord)"My 2018 Honda Accord accelerates amazingly quick and handles well when going around corners at a fast pace. However, the suspension seems a bit stiff and is noticeable when driving over bumps at speed."
Anonymous, AZ (2018 Honda Accord)"excellent handling and power"
Anonymous, PA (2018 Honda Accord)"Great comfortable ride with plenty of acceleration. Very good gas mileage using regular fuel."
Anonymous, OH (2018 Honda Accord)"Smooth and fast acceleration, excellent steering response, yet gets good mileage, the suspension absorbs rough pavement better than I would have expected."

Winston H., CA (2018 Honda Accord)"The car has plenty of power and pick-up. The handling is good and controlled."
V O., NJ (2018 Honda Accord)"Firm, level, controlled handling. Good low end torque response with 2.0T. Passing not as good as last years V6."
Anonymous, CA (2018 Honda Accord)"I like the adaptive collision monitoring system.... keeps me in lanes warns when cars close on either side... auto braking is very useful too in heavy slow traffic (25 mph or less)"
Anonymous, MA (2018 Honda Accord)"more power than my former 4 cylinder Honda. Acceleration into the super higway is excellent and my gas mileage is phenomenal"
Anonymous, NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration with the base turbocharged engine is excellent, precluding the need to pay for the larger engine option. Handling and road feel are very good."
Lawrence B., NC (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration is fast and handling is very smooth."
Anonymous, MI (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration is very smooth and responsive. Nice tight turning radius."
Anonymous, CA (2018 Honda Accord)"Excellent drive, almost as smooth as my mercedes E350. I love this vehicles ride. This infotainment system is well done and the design of the car is sharp."
Anonymous, TX (2018 Honda Accord)"When the turbo system is used, the acceleration of the 4 cylinder 2 liter turbo engine is better than my 2009 6 cylinder Accord."
Michael F., NY (2018 Honda Accord)"As good as any sports car I've ever driven or owned"
Allen J., IL (2018 Honda Accord)"Oh my God is this a Honda? Is this a family car? Honda has built a firebreathing monster! Need to get somewhere effortlessly? Point my 2.0T Touring in the right direction and go! Seriously though, the motor is VERY capable. And handling? Handles like it is on rails. The best handling car I have ever owned, hands down. And that’s in regular mode. Hit that sport button and she drives on rails."

Anonymous, IL (2018 Honda Accord)"Excellent handling. feels very secure on the road."
Anonymous, CA (2018 Honda Accord)"Very smooth and impressive power. Tight handling."
Gerald Y., OH (2018 Honda Accord)"Car accelerates well, handles very cleanly in town and at speed, and it feels very precise. WIth the 2.0 turbo and 10 speed transmission, there is almost no lag when accelerating despite this being a turbo. The paddle shifters can help acceleration, and the Sport mode helps even more."
Anonymous, NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Agility and quickness"
Vincent D., FL (2018 Honda Accord)"great acceleration good cornering competent braking"
Richard F., MA (2018 Honda Accord)"I thought I'd be giving up all power with a hybrid but that's not the case. Coming from a V6 Accord, I thought this would be an issue but not at all. It handles great. On hilly road in Sport mode, this handles like a sports car. Fun to drive."
M K., MD (2018 Honda Accord)"Excellent"
Anonymous, TX (2018 Honda Accord)"The 2.0T is really responsive. Put it in Sport mode and the thing is almost too aggressive. I like the way it revs high and stays in a lower gear. And because it tends to hold a low gear, all I need to to is tap the gas and i'm gone. Those pesky Prius' need to get out of my way!"
Anonymous, CA (2018 Honda Accord)"The 1.5L turbo is a great engine. Getting great 26 city / 36 hwy / 29 combined gas mileage while having very good passing power when needed. The sport mode does allow for the turbo boost gauge, the tachometer, and the fuel range to be displayed at the same time on the instrument cluster, which CR wrongly reported in the CR Car Guide earlier this year."
Michael M., OH (2018 Honda Accord)"Great handling & excellent power to accelerate from highway on-ramps. Excellent gas mileage."
Anonymous, NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration and handling are great. I really like the power and handling."

Anonymous, MD (2018 Honda Accord)"The acceleration is pretty good, even in eco mode."
Anonymous, NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Great acceleration. Transmission can be a little slow to engage and seems clunky at times, especially when cold. Great handling and brakes. Very engaging drive and drives like a smaller car."
Michael M., MI (2018 Honda Accord)"I absolutely LOVE the way this car responds to the gas pedal and shifts so seamlessly. It handles like a sports car should handle. It is extremely fun to drive!"
Anonymous, IL (2018 Honda Accord)"The hybrid has excellent acceleration. I just completed a long trip in all types of driving conditions and it performance was excellent even in the most gas efficient mode."
Paul G., VA (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration is pretty good with Econ mode off. ACC makes road tripping a totally different experience. And lane departure detection is very handy for helping you to adjust to the driving experience in your new car."
Francis L., VA (2018 Honda Accord)"handling is outstanding for a large sedan. very smooth and very nimble in the turns. acceleration is good given the small engine and outstanding gas mileage it gets."
Anonymous, TX (2018 Honda Accord)"I have the new 2018 Accord Touring with all the newer driver assist gadgets. The ACC (Active Cruise Control) works well on the highway when traffic is moving, slowing down speeding up etc but it's down right dangerous if cars are at a dead stop down the road. The radar system doesn't pick them in time even when the max distance is set on the ACC. If you are not paying attention you're in big trouble! The Lane Keep Assist (LKAS) is more of a nuisance. The wheel vibrates at the wrong times (sometimes) and seems to get confused when lanes shift in construction areas or around turns. And when on the LKAS adjusts steering automatically (gently, of course) but it sometimes counters my own input. I steer through it but most of the time I just turn it off b/c it's too much of a pain. The Blind Spot Monitoring works well but I wish it had a side-view camera like my old 2013 Accord had. These newer technologies need more refinement. Other than that it's a Honda and I love it. I just wish I didn't get all of the gadgets...(and maybe the stick shift version too.) too :-)."
Anonymous, VA (2018 Honda Accord)"Turbo lag - I don't like it"
Anonymous, CA (2018 Honda Accord)"Has much better acceleration than my 2015 Accord Hybrid. Very responsive handling."
Silvia C., TX (2018 Honda Accord)"Sometimes notice turbo lag when running ac"
Anonymous, OH (2018 Honda Accord)"Compared to my 2012 Accord and 2015 Accord, the redesigned 2018 Accord does not accelerate as smoothly and as quickly (even though it has CVT). I suspect that the lane departure feature may effect the poor handling. The steering wheel size is not as ergonomically good as the 2012 and 2015. I have driven the 2018 Accord for a month and am disappointed with it."
Anonymous, TX (2018 Honda Accord)"Awesome drivability.... acceleration and braking are best in class"
John G., FL (2018 Honda Accord)"handling perfect and acceleration good enough fo me"
Anonymous, FL (2018 Honda Accord)"A little lag but great on gas mikeage"
Anonymous, NJ (2018 Honda Accord)"Miss the v-6 engine"
Anonymous, NY (2018 Honda Accord)"It has a fantastic six-speed manual transmission. I love it!"
Kenneth B., OH (2018 Honda Accord)"Really great acceleration. Despite the obvious turbo lag, the acceleration is still top notch compared to naturally aspirated engines."
Anonymous, MD (2018 Honda Accord)"Surprisingly good acceleration with 1.5 Turbo engine. Handling is excellent typical of a Honda Accord."
Sheldon K., NJ (2018 Honda Accord)"Excellent handling and excelleration far more than adaquate."
Anonymous, CA (2018 Honda Accord)"Crash avoidance features"
Michael G., NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Car is a pleasure to drive. Acceleration is powerful but gas mileage is less than expected."
Michael C., CA (2018 Honda Accord)"The new design handles very well with little body lean. The 2.0l engine married with the 10 speed xxxxxx provides perfectly acceptable acceleration for my wife and sport mode gives me the performance I want from a mid-sized sedan."
C H., TX (2018 Honda Accord)"I have a hard time controlling the smoothness of applying power do to the turbocharger "kicking in" at unpredictable times."
John M., NE (2018 Honda Accord)"Both acceleration and cornering were better on the Honda Accord Touring Hybrid than the Toyota Camry Hybrid."
Carolyn B., IN (2018 Honda Accord)"The 2.0 L turbo has very good acceleration, and the automatic transmission shifts gears smoothly. The steering is very responsive but not twitchy. There is good road gripping and little body lean on curves. Though improved, the suspension is still rather stiff for rough roads, and tire noise is evident. Braking has good feel and works well."
James K., WI (2018 Honda Accord)"CVT takes getting used to. The steering is generally hard and rather "on/off"."
Anonymous, TX (2018 Honda Accord)"Smooth shifter for the 6-speed manual transmission and has amazing acceleration even in higher gears!"
Anonymous, NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Acceleration is like a rocket! Hybrid engine can deliver when called upon."
Anonymous, MI (2018 Honda Accord)"Steers and tracks accurately. Corners well too"
Peter B., FL (2018 Honda Accord)"Love it. Econ mode delivers great gas milage, sports mode is great for merging with high speed traffic on i95."
Clifford W., PA (2018 Honda Accord)"It handles beautifully, and responds as if it is a part of me. i love this car so far; only had it for 2 months, though."
Anonymous, VA (2018 Honda Accord)"It handles so much better than the 2017 hybrid Accord we previously owned. Acceleration, breaking, cornering and ride are all excellent."
Kent W., UT (2018 Honda Accord)"Adaptive Cruise Control is great for highway driving, once you get accustomed to it and learn to "trust" it."
Mike-Mary C., MD (2018 Honda Accord)"steady on the road, handled potholes and rough roads very well (cushioned), feel I have control on curved roads."
Anonymous, NY (2018 Honda Accord)"Nice power"
Anonymous, CA (2018 Honda Accord)"Great pick-up, responsive and easy to drive. Built in safety features are great - sensing traffic using backup camera, off road sensing. Makes driving easy and comfortable"
Kathy R., OH (2018 Honda Accord)"Sport car driving"
Anonymous, SC (2018 Honda Accord)"Handles excellent"
Anonymous, FL (2018 Honda Accord)"This is the quickest car I've ever driven. With the ten speed transmission, you're always in the right gear for fast and effortless acceleration. Steering is accurate and vehicle tracks well."
Merlin R., SC (2018 Honda Accord)"rough ride over pavement strips and small divots, seating position is far too low, transmission has occasional driveline lash, and sometimes seems to hunt for a gear when driving at low rpm, and seeking to economize and seeking to optomize choice of transmission gear. turning circle is too wide. i frankly grew to dislike it and sold the car with 4000 miles on it."
Anonymous, PA (2018 Honda Accord)"Great acceleration for 4 cylinder engine"
Anonymous, PA (2018 Honda Accord)"Great response when accelerating"
Anonymous, OH (2018 Honda Accord)"great exceleration, love the sport mode, for when its needed, and it is just a joy to drive"
Denise B., CT (2018 Honda Accord)
"I used to own a V-6 2016 Honda Accord Touring model. This 2018 touring with the turbo is every bit as fast, more nimble, better handling. It puts a grin on my face every time I step on the accelerator!"
Wayne T., CA (2018 Honda Accord)
