What Owners Say
"It handles and rides well for a 15 year old vehicle. The V6 has plenty of power. Unfortunately it doesn't have stability control and we feel we may be ready to replace it because of that. It's our car for highway trips and the lack of stability control is a huge concern."
Michael D., OH (2003 Honda Odyssey)"The Odyssey has been our work horse vehicle for highway driving and hauling things and people around town. it has a very versatile cargo area. We have been very satisfied during the 13 years that we have owned the vehicle. We are the second owner and have been pleased to drive this vehicle."
Anonymous, VA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Good acceleration"
Anonymous, VA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"no cost at all, this vehicle is very reliable and the engine works fine."
Regent B., QC (2003 Honda Odyssey)"It drives like a car. Quick enough to keep up with traffic. Handles just fine. It's not an exciting ride but it is stable and predictable."
Mark P., FL (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Handling for a vehicle of this size"
Anonymous, NH (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Acceleration is amazing, for a van, or for any car! I tell my friends that I drive it like a sports car, and it responds like one, albeit with too high center of gravity. It even accels going uphill! This is important for me in my commute, where I do have to accelerate quickly occasionally."
Alice G., WA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"The Odyssey has great handling, stability and control. Last month was driving on Interstate when big Mower-tractor cut in front of me. Had to head for Median at 75 MPH to miss tractor, but never came close to losing control. After a tow out of the Median, and we were on our way."
Anonymous, NC (2003 Honda Odyssey)"For a car with 210000 miles it still runs very good and with just regular maintenance. It has been very reliable."
Anonymous, VA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"This vehicle has very good acceleration, the engine feels strong, and the new transmission is flawless. The Odyssey maneuvers well, even for a van. It handles good on hills and winding roads, with the front wheel drive pulling through each corner very assuredly."
Kevin H., CA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"While not outstanding, it does drive pretty much as it did when new. The drive train is still smooth and responsive. The handling is probably just a bit off. I suspect that the shocks are getting a bit worn after 15 years."
Greg C., CA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"drives like a car"
Anonymous, VA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Great accelaration"
JOHN K., IL (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Runs like a scalded dog. Powerful acceleration when needed. Crash avoidance maneuvering is exceptional. Amazing handling for such a large vehicle. It can get up to 27 mpg highway but a pitiful 13 mpg around town. Overall great vehicle for 14 years/119800 miles. My "enclosed pickup truck". 2003 Odyssey EX. (with seats removed, you can lay 4x8' sheets of plywood in the cargo area)"
TOM A., NC (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Best."
JOSEPH J., NM (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Powerful 6-cylinder. Easy to accelerate into traffic despite the size."
DANIEL F., VA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Great acceleration Heavy steering and handling"
JANE N., OR (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Engine provides adequate acceleration when getting on freeways or passing."
Anonymous, CO (2003 Honda Odyssey)"The car drives very smoothly and very comfortably. The turning can sometimes feel like I am in a big minivan. But I am in the big minivan and I feel very safe and secure. It does not feel like driving a nice small sports car. I am getting used to the handling and the acceleration is fine. I love my Odyssey."
MEREDITH J., CT (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Handles like a car, nice to drive, good pick up."
ELIZABETH P., MD (2003 Honda Odyssey)"very responsive in handling and very responsive in acceleration"
Anonymous, PA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"smooth riding experience"
Anonymous, IA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Great reliability. A very low maintenance vehicle.. Roomy, great for seniors who can't bend so well."
Anonymous, IL (2003 Honda Odyssey)"The Element is an amazing mini truck to me. It's turning radius is great, it handles well when driving o the highways, easy to park."
Anonymous, CA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"handling is solid, engine response amazing, transmission still functions smothly"
Anonymous, FL (2003 Honda Odyssey)"We wanted a vehicle that would be used for all family travel re: Hockey/soccer games/tournaments; dance/music recitals/competitions; vacations and just everyday stuff (grocery shopping and to/from school). This has been our war wagon! From major snow storms to sweltering heat wave this van has carried us safely everywhere! If it wasn't for the rust, I'd be keeping her! Great acceleration - powerful little engine! Handled great in snow - traction control worked great. Had a few emergency handling situations where it drove like a sedan!"
Anonymous, ON (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Quick response and handling"
Anonymous, CA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Acceleration is excellent with the 6 cylinder. Road noise can be excessive unless the pavement is smooth. Suspension has gotten very loose and sways as the van aged."
Raymond L., CA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Acceleration is great. I can accelerate up hill! The handling is great, the acceleration is great, and is a great family car."
Alice G., WA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Good acceleration. Drives better than any of the other minivans. Only issue is transmission which has trouble going into reverse when engine is hot. Have not had this addresses, and we try to go gently on it when shifting inti reverse, or just pull through the parking space so I don't have to back out."
Michael B., NY (2003 Honda Odyssey)"Runs great. Powerful acceleration when needed. Excellent handling-emergency avoidance. I finished my response but your system won’t allow me to continue. Your system said I was done but continues to require more input. If this continues, I will not respond to another CR survey"
Tom A., NC (2003 Honda Odyssey)"The Honda's engine provides adequate power in all situations, especially when driving on Colorado's mountain interstate and other roadways."
Andrew K., CO (2003 Honda Odyssey)"great turning radius, great acceleration"
Anonymous, CA (2003 Honda Odyssey)"After 15 years this vehicle still operates like new. The biggest defect with this Van's is the road noise."
Ken G., MB (2003 Honda Odyssey)"It's a mini-van, poor handling."
Anonymous, TX (2003 Honda Odyssey)
"good acceleration for a 4-cylinder minivan. Handles well on the road and in turns."
Michael S., MD (2003 Honda Odyssey)
