The Santa Fe Sport, Hyundai's stylish and well-equipped two-row mid-sized SUV was redesigned and noticeably upgraded for the 2013 model year. It has much to recommend it, as well as a couple of annoying shortcomings that prevent it from scoring higher than it does in our SUV Ratings. The Sport comes with lots of features for the money. It's also roomy, comfortable, fuel-efficient, and stylish.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

RANDY H., ON (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

“Steering is vague. Must be constantly steering and not let your eyes wander to view peripheral distractions.”

Anonymous, BC (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

“It was very comfortable when. I first got it, now after 18 months it is a very uncomfortable ride on uneven roads. Have had a piece of seat trim replaced twice, because it breaks.”

REBECCA C., NC (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

“So many vehicles have heated seats but, the air conditioned seats come in very handy too!”

Anonymous, FL (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

“I love the Santa Fe, except for a few complaints. Safety, regarding the side mirrors, the mirrors are way too large and create a blind spot when looking out the driver window. I am a short person. The other issue is the passenger seat. Being a short person the passenger seat sits too low. It does not go up as high as the driver's seat. When I am a passenger in this car the top of the door where window is, is too high and I cannot see out. Feel like a child sitting in the front seat. My h”

DONNA M., OH (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

“After comparing almost every SUV in this size and price range, The Sante Fe Sport had as good a ride but much better road feel and a more comfortable seat. Also driving position for my wife was excellent and back seat comfort was better than average. Although a 4 cyl (My 2011 is a v-6) it is peppy and with a full load on the highway, it has plenty of power to pass and accelerate into traffic.”

RANDY H., ON (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

“seat a little narrow in width, sit on a thin (one inch) pillow.”

FRANCIS L., IL (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

“Does not have a remote trunk opening system”

Anonymous, NJ (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

“Is not 'fun to drive' , handling is lot be desired. Ride quality, noise isolation, seat cushioning and support, and the electric steering could better”

PARTHIB R., TX (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

“Passenger power seat not height adjustable”

W T., BC (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)

“Seats take a while to adjust to be comfortable- climate control works very well in desert heat and cold”

LAUREL D., NV (2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport)
