"The car does not shift smoothly to the correct gear. I sometimes need to shift manually"

"When on an incline at a full ,stop the car sometimes slips in shifting when you accelerate. Both my husband and I have experienced this and it’s disconcerting. Software undated haven’t stopped it from appearing."

"Faulty wiring for the engine knock sensor caused the car to go into "limp mode" when my wife and I were 600 miles from home. We had to leave the car in Charlotte, NC, for repair. Unfortunately, Hyundai had a huge backlog of vehicles with similar problems which meant we had to drive a rental car for nearly 3 months before our car was fixed and returned to us. Then, 48 hours after getting the car back, the engine light came on again. We took it back to your Hyundai dealer who kept the car for another 2 weeks before parts were available. Apparently, the technician in Charlotte wired the car incorrectly. After being without our new car for nearly 4 months, we got it back and it's been driving well ever since."

"There was a recall to upgrade some software. After having that upgrade performed while on a 200 mile trip, the engine went into safety mode, not allowing me to drive over 50mph. I had to call for a tow, had to get an uber to take me to a separate location than my wife who went with the car. This all happened approximately 75 miles from home making it extremely inconvenient. The issue was with the wiring harness and the dealer had the car for 3 months since there were so many instances of this occurring. I was happy to have a loaner, but it was extremely irritating to not get updates from the dealer unless I called. They did not reimburse for the uber that I had to take to actually get a rental care for a day so that I could get to my destination. My wife had to miss the event altogether to take care of my car (she's a saint). Ultimately things were taken care of but it was a very frustrating event."

"Car was recalled for engine harness issues. Engine cut off while driving. Back order on fix. Have a loner car. Car has been at dealer waiting for repair for over 1 month. Don't know when car will be fixed."

"This car does not seem to have the same window seals as my prior Sonota. I am constantly checking to be sure the windows are up. I dont know if it is the design or faulty window seals. Dealer says nothing wrong. I just know it is not a quiet as my 2016 was."
