The Wrangler has entered the modern era, with more creature comforts, updated safety gear, and an available four-door model. Its off-road performance is very impressive. While on-road ride, handling, and refinement are improved, they are still not competitive.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"It is a rough ride. Acceleration is very poor. It has a surprisingly good turn radius, if you need to do a lot of tight u-turns. When driving on an incline, the automatic shifting does not kick in well. I can have the pedal to the floor and the car will still be slowing down."

AMBER R., FL (2010 Jeep Wrangler)

"The automatic transmission is "soft". It is not as crisp under acceleration as I would like."

JOSEPH C., AB (2010 Jeep Wrangler)

"It has been a good car"

JUDY B., CA (2010 Jeep Wrangler)

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"Well, it's a Jeep. Not comfortable, and extremely noisy. The soft top was recalled and replaced by the dealership, but it never sealed the same. There are no leaks, but the noise was terrible. Climate control works great for front seat; especially the feet. But, if the top is down, the back seat gets nothing."

AMBER R., FL (2010 Jeep Wrangler)

"It gets a bad reputation for harsh ride and noise, but it is exactly what is supposed to be. If you don't like or accept it, don't buy a wrangler."

MARK T., NC (2010 Jeep Wrangler)

"For short rides and off road, the seats are fine. For long rides, the seats are pretty bad. There is no climate control. Basically, everything in the interior is primitive and below what I would expect from a vehicle of this price range."

MARK S., CA (2010 Jeep Wrangler)

"You expect rough ride and upright seats, but the noise is much worse than I expect from a convertible."

Anonymous, PA (2010 Jeep Wrangler)

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

"The car is worth more than most other vehicles of the same year."

LUIS C., TX (2010 Jeep Wrangler)

"My Jeep was used with very low milage"

JOHN W., CT (2010 Jeep Wrangler)
