Driving Experience
Includes acceleration and handling
What Owners Say
"I have a 3.2 rear end ratio. Low gear needs to be lower. It is like starting in second gear. Good gas milage, however."
Anonymous, VA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"The Jeep does 4 wheel drive road very well, which is the main purpose I bought it for. Otherwise I am satisfied with acceleration and driving. Averaging about 20 mpg is a pleasant surprise."
DAVID A., FL (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"The handling of my jeep in deep snow and winter driving are fantastic. Driving with the tops down in,the summer with the tunes cranked is pure joy. :)"
KEVIN D., ME (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"ACCELERATION IS ADEQUATE, BUT WOULD BE MORE PLEASING TO DRIVE IF IT HAD MORE PEP COMING OFF THE LINE"
CLYDE J., TX (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"While I know it isn't a sports car, I swapped the "Rubicon"-type tires for Michelin, and it handled superbly, taking curves in the road, etc."
KENNETH C., CA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Acceleration is a little weak considering the size and weight of the vehicle and the size of the engine. Handling is terrible as it likes to dart around on the road. Steering is way too sensitive, a slight move and it darts."
JOE C., AR (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"We bought it to tow behind our motorhome and to take off road when we got to areas that interest us. It preforms great in both areas."
KATHLEEN L., OR (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"This is the third Rubican that I have owned. I wish that I had kept the first one. It too was plaged by manual transmission Synchros. It was rebuilt twice by two dealers. the last dealer got it right or there was different parts provided. Unfortunately, I traded it at 110miles. The second Rebicon was an automatic Trans. I constantly missed the foot brake. I had many episodes where I had close calls. The third one now has 18331 miles. It now needs synchros. The third one I think that"
JOHN W., NY (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Great off road performance"
GARY S., TX (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"drives as a sport utility vehicle, sole purpose is not luxury highway vehicle. experts criticize the Jeep brand for not comparing to similar suvs. to this day it will still outperform most vehicles off-road"
Anonymous, CO (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Use at beach . The best for that purpose"
RON G., GA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Jeep doesn't handle particularly well but it is really fun to drive and I really enjoy the entire experience."
Anonymous, ON (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Awesome acceleration. Excellent handling"
William C., TN (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Handles well except in very windy conditions"
Anonymous, UT (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"When New until updated computer acceleration at crucial times intermittently poor if not dangerous. Acceleration upon entering highway"
Joseph P., NY (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"I have added a 2.5" lift and 35" tires so it is not fair to compare this to a stock Jeep. Handling sucks. I do not want to drive this in a rain storm as it hydroplanes. Great vehicle to bop around town when the sun is shining and you can drop the top. It also kicks butt during deer season when I have it off road."
Wilson B., OH (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"the off-road fun is why i bought the car and it delvers , so much fun"
Anonymous, CA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Great acceleration & drives much better on the highways than I thought. Also quieter than I expected."
Steve J., CO (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"the Jeep drives great around town. Acceleration and handling are much like a car but the visibility is better and it is way more fun."
Anonymous, CO (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"My husband loves the way it drives."
Anonymous, MA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Dependability, rugged, American ICON, functionality"
Clyde J., TX (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"It is designed to be used primarily as an off-road vehicle and is made as such. there are too many critics who give it a bad name because it rides noisy and rough on the road. It handles well on road, especially if equipped with after market products, such as steering stabilizer, suspension, and brakes. Where it leaves other vehicles in the dust, is off-road."
Anonymous, CO (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"acceleration and handling is fine considering this vehicle is built for off-road rather than cruising. it's exactly what you would expect for this type of vehicle"
Peter D., NY (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"most comfortable wrangler we have ever owned (and we have owned 4 previously)"
Anonymous, MD (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"fun car to drive. good acceleration for passing. great for driving on our soft sand beaches"
Peter S., FL (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Vehicle handles very well. Has enogh power to get on freeways, with no problem."
Vega W., AZ (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"I live in a rural, mountain area, so 90% of my driving is on 2-lane, very curvy and steeply hilly roads. This car has all the power and also the handling to cope with this easily, even in wet and snowy conditions. Another 5% of my driving is completely off-road in a national forest, and likewise this car meets this challenge without blinking. Finally, the last 5% of my driving is on a highway (off the mountain) and it copes with this easily as well."
Kenneth C., CA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"It has top quality handling. Easy to steer and small enough to park most anywhere. It accelerates a little slow but once 5th gear is reached it moves on out."
Linda M., VA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Driving a 2 dr jeep is for an experienced driver. It's not for a beginner. I love it. Excellent turning radius & excellent in bad weather conditions."
Pamela B., IL (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Much better than expected. Was told jeeps are not fast, she can keep up on the turnpike over 70."
Constance G., PA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"PERFORMS AS DESIRED-GREAT FOR EVERYTHING"
Ted G., TX (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"The experience of a Jeep Wrangler is great. The simplicity of driving is so enjoyable"
J D., MI (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"The Jeep handles very well and has great acceleration"
Terri N., OH (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Acceleration is good enough for me."
Anonymous, FL (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"It has very good acceleration and handles well. For being a Jeep it is a pretty easy ride"
Anonymous, BC (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"On the road: The jeep has excellent acceleration and only fair handling charistics. Feels top heavy in sharp turns and does not handle well on wet roads. Off-road: But keep in mind the jeep is primarily an off-road vehicle. The jeep excells in acceleration and handling in off-road conditions."
Bobby H., LA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"Engine would not accelerate a few times. I was stuck on the side of the road. A couple of times all it took to fix itself was to turn off the car and restart. A couple of other times it took 15-20 minutes to correct it. Nobody seems to know why!!!???"
Norm A., CA (2015 Jeep Wrangler)"6 speed manual has great acceleration and handling"
Anonymous, AZ (2015 Jeep Wrangler)
"Handle very quick with unexpected acceleration."
ROBERT R., TX (2015 Jeep Wrangler)
