Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"No major repairs and I have had it since 2003."

Anonymous, CA (2003 Lexus ES)

Anonymous, NY (2003 Lexus ES)

"It hasn't reached 100k miles and it is falling apart. I've spent north of $10k this year in keeping it going. The car has a poor ride, poorly designed displays, but most of all it is poorly designed for maintenance so every repair is a fortune. $1k to change a low beam headlight!; $600 to change sparkplugs (because so much has to be removed to get to them). The headlight needed a computer! My prior 2003 Lexus went 200k+ miles with hardy a repair."

Anonymous, CA (2003 Lexus ES)

"in 14 years. No problems to speak of. Car very reliable and a pleasure to drive."

Anonymous, FL (2003 Lexus ES)

"It has been an extremely dependable vehicle and still looks as good as the day purchased. Still has great handling and ride after all these years"

G W., NE (2003 Lexus ES)

"Car has not been as reliable as I had anticipated. We've had four major repairs over the life of the car, including a major engine issue (harmonic balancer). The car is 13 years old but has only 56,000 miles. Given Lexus' reputation, I would have expected better."

Anonymous, TX (2003 Lexus ES)
