The ES330 provides one of the most quiet and comfortable driving experiences in the class. We like its smooth powertrain, impressive fit and finish, and fairly roomy interior. The then-new 3.3-liter V6 engine slightly improved acceleration and fuel economy over its predecessor. The ES scored very well in both government and insurance-industry crash tests.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"Car is very expensive to buy, but is worth the difference. I would rather pay a Toyota price for Lexus quality and comfort."

PAMELA K., CA (2006 Lexus ES)

"low maintence, very good value for the money. still runs well 190000 miles and 11 yrs old"

Anonymous, GA (2006 Lexus ES)

"For what the Lexus cost new, could have purchased Camry and saved money. Cost of repairs has cost thousands. When a unit has only 95K miles and has cost you over $10,000 in repairs (does not include routine maintenance) that is not qualify unit. Lexus repair costs are higher on average than standard Toyota products."

PAUL C., TX (2006 Lexus ES)

Owner-satisfaction Ratings are determined by the percentage of those who answered "definitely yes" to the question asked by the Consumer Reports Annual Auto Survey "Considering all factors (price, performance, reliability, comfort, enjoyment, etc.), would you get this car if you had to do it all over again?". If we don’t have sufficient data, a similar model might be used to form the owner-satisfaction score.
