With this iteration, the long-running Pathfinder was transformed from a truck-based workhorse into a softer, gentler, car-based SUV with three rows and seven seats. The enlarged interior and easier access moved it closer to a family-friendly minivan substitute. But we found the Pathfinder to be a little too much like a minivan.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Owner Satisfaction with:

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"Bad -rough ride -Poor turning radius -touchy brakes"

Anonymous, IA (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"Acceleration is sluggish, handling is lumbering and slow to respond. Drives like a larger truck than an SUV."

Anonymous, CT (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"The suspension is very soft and is not responsive to avoidance situations. It's better to hit a pot hole that avoid it. The Pathfinder has a mind of its own on a quick turn. It is a pure piece of shit."

MICHAEL C., PA (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"Very quiet smooth CVT and powerfull"

Anonymous, BC (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"The often maligned CVT is actually very good in this application. Extremely smooth and is one of the best features of the vehicle. Ride is on the soft side which is actually pretty nice for long trips."

WILLIAM L., BC (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"I am not satisfied with the steering at high speeds. I also have had some unexplained shaking at high speed. Dealer unable to replicate problem and therefore unable to deal with it."

CHARLES A., NJ (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"The ability to adjust to road conditions, be it snow, rain or dry is great, it is what sold us on this vehicle."

NANCY H., MN (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"Good acceleration, good response to steering, good tight turn radius, very nice ride, comfortable seats, even on longer drives (4 to 6 hours between stops)."

ROBERT C., AZ (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"Smooth quiet, good acceleration"

Anonymous, AK (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"Cabin is not quiet, a lot of road noise, engine is loud. Seats are great, though, love the flexibility of the rear seats which slide forward and back, and recline. Seats overall are comfortable. Ride is somewhat 'lumbering' akin to a truck than an SUV."

Anonymous, CT (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"Seats are comfortable. Ride could be a little better. Rattle on passenger side in 2nd row of seats."

David K., FL (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"The rear alignment has been an issue from day one. Had 1 set if tires replaced because they wore due to bad alignment and within 2 yrars we have had the wheels aligned twice. Unacceptable for a car that is never off road. Also the interior build quality is extremely poor for a 46K vehicle."

Sharontha F., NJ (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"-keeps you in good -firm seats -cools/heats quicklu -Smooth ride"

Anonymous, IA (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"very comfortable and quite and drives very good on long trips"

Stanley S., MO (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"Ride quality, quietness, seat comfort. Remote start feature is great"

Anonymous, AL (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"The front seats are very comfortable and the cooled feature to the leather has been fantastic. The heat works as expected, however the AC/cooling seems to work slowly and even at the highest wind speed and coolest setting. Interior can be tight with baby/kid seats."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"I got a deal on this car and I like it"

Anonymous, AK (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"I bought the '15 Pathfinder in the Platinum Model mainly for the cooled front seats, blind spot features and the panoramic moonroof. I paid 3k under MSRP, but still feel in hindsight that what I ended up paying at 42k was a bit much."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

"We didn't get the loaded version because we have not been satisfied with any makers OE Navigation equipment. We did get Sat Radio, etc., and the price was thousands less. that the loaded version. Consequently we feel it was a great value."

ROBERT C., AZ (2015 Nissan Pathfinder)

Styling

How it looks inside and out

What Owners Say
