Subaru Forester 2007 4-door SUV
Trim Shown: Sport Utility
The Forester is a sensible, practical, and affordable vehicle. The base engine is a 2.5-liter, 173-hp four-cylinder, and the turbocharged engine in the Sports 2.5 XT produces 224 hp and delivers considerably quicker acceleration. It has a very comfortable ride and handles well, with responsive but light steering. Electronic stability control is only available in the Sports XT automatic. Braking is very good, and the optional automatic transmission shifts responsively. Standard all-wheel drive helps in slippery road conditions and moderate off-road driving. The front seats are firm and well-shaped, but the rear is cramped. The square cargo space is very usable.
