What Owners Say
"When shifting into reverse, the display screen for the backup camera is completely black, only showing the distance lines"
Anonymous, NY (2014 Subaru Forester)"The backup camera would just stop working. The Subaru dealer was not patient enough to test the problem and we had to go back to the dealer multiple times to rectify"
Anonymous, PA (2014 Subaru Forester Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Occasionally the camera does not show an image but does show the vehicle track indicator lines. This does not happen all the time."
Anonymous, TX (2014 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"CD will play but get warm easy. Then start to skip or jump track"
Denis Y., CA (2014 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"CD wouldn't come out. We took it in and they told us that they couldn't fix it. We would have to spend $1050 to buy a new one! Or we could use a tweezers to try to "catch" the CD and pull it out. Ridiculous"
Scott S., CA (2014 Subaru Forester XT 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo)"CD player has become intermittent"
Anonymous, CA (2014 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Unit will no longer play any cd’s."

Anonymous, ME (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The entire sound system crashed. I had let the battery drain, and when it was recharged, the sound system didn't work. Fortunately, it was before my warranty ran out, and the dealer replaced it for $100 deductible."
Anonymous, CO (2014 Subaru Forester 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"It'll play a song or two, but once I believed when it heats up, music will skip or eventually not play at all."
Denis Y., CA (2014 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"When CD eject button is pushed, disk barely clears dashboard slot entrance before machine pulls it back in, hence unable to eject disk. With quick reflexes one can grab the disk as it just barely exits with a pair of tweezers, but chances are the disk will be scratched. Problem occurs sporadically, but never when dealer investigates."
Anonymous, CA (2014 Subaru Forester Premium 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"On numerous occasions CD player would not eject disc. Dealer serviced unit by air cleaning once, replaced unit second time with refurbished unit, refused to service/replace third time. We located an after market dealer/installer and replaced Subaru unit with after market unit, which has not experienced any problems yet."

Joseph K., NY (2014 Subaru Forester Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Randomly, once a month or so, after about 1 minute after starting the car the Harmon Karden system reboots and starts playing where it left off. If I immediately either power off and on or switch to another audio source, the system operates normally. Otherwise, it reboots to the factory settings.
