Roomy inside without feeling large outside, the Toyota Corolla is also impressively quiet. Corolla also has excellent fuel economy, while still posting good acceleration times, handling competently and providing a comfortable ride. The one drawback -- some of our drivers were not comfortable with the driving position. Overall, though, the Corolla is a fine choice.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

What Owners Say

"This a Corolla sports model with stick shift. It accelerates well and I downshift going down hills. It gives me a feeling of greater control. It also holds the curves well although at 140k miles its getting a bit long in tooth."

Richard F., GA (2007 Toyota Corolla)

"Despite being slow to speed. Can be fun to wind up the engine in an attempt to keep up. Likewse handling is ho-hum, but can be engaging in a low speed tight turn."

Michael S., NY (2007 Toyota Corolla)

"I am happy with the way it drives"

Anonymous, VA (2007 Toyota Corolla)

Walter M., FL (2007 Toyota Corolla)

"Lots of leg and head room. Comfortable ride easily for 4 adults. Noisy compared to the Honda Civic."

N V., AB (2007 Toyota Corolla)

"We have had this car for 11 years and we find it reliable. The body is very good. I have only repaired a small spot on the trunk. This is a great car that we will keep until it is no longer reliable. The value on trade-in or sale would be not be close to the value it holds for us."

J M., CA (2007 Toyota Corolla)

"The value is exceptional. It has not had any breakdowns and the milage has stayed consistent for 177,000 miles. It got 36 city and 42 hwy when new and it still gets that mpg. I just replaced the front break pads after 175,000 miles."
