Toyota RAV4 2009 4-door SUV
Trim Shown: Sport Utility
The RAV4 has a flexible, well-designed interior. It is much more substantial than its predecessor, with a quieter interior, a more comfortable ride, and better fuel economy. Handling is agile and secure with standard stability control. The rear seat is roomy. A tiny third-row seat is optional. A new 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine replaced the old 2.4-liter for 2009 and gets 23 mpg overall. The optional 3.5-liter V6 makes the RAV4 quick and quiet, and it returns only 1 mpg less than the four-cylinder, but in Limited trim it pushes the price to $30,000. The side-opening rear gate requires a lot of room to open.
