The Toyota Sienna affords a comfortable ride and a smooth, energetic powertrain returning respectable fuel economy. Expect 20 mpg overall from the front-wheel-drive version. If you need an all-wheel-drive minivan in this model year, Sienna is your only choice. Be apprised however, those four-driven wheels sacrifice one mpg and dictate run-flat tires.

What Owners Say

"This vehicle is a beast. Great handling on both highway and poorly maintained dirt road, including mud, snow, and ice conditions. Great power, great turning radius, and great responsiveness."

Anonymous, VT (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"It has great acceleration and handles just fine."

B T., IN (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Acceleration and braking are good. Steering is smooth, but not sporty"

Charles G., NY (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Great acceleration for a mini van. It feels as if you are driving a sports car."

Anonymous, OH (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"I love the tight turn ratio. This is the best of all cars I have ever driven. This van handles extremely well. There really is nothing negative about driving it."

Hugh F., LA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"The V6 gives surprisingly good acceleration for a minivan. It accelerates easily up hills and passing is never a problem. Steering is adequate, but nothing special."

Anonymous, AP (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Very smooth you have to be careful not to speed."

Sal S., QC (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Smooth, serene, silent on the highway."

A M., AZ (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"for a minivan has decent acceleration smf port"

Rick O., NJ (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"handling is good but the acceleration is sluggish"

Linda J., MN (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"I have had two Dodge Caravans, and the acceleration and handling of the Sienna is FAR superior to the previous Caravans (1984 and 1886 models). I particularly find the acceleration to be excellent when entering onto the highway. The turning radius is also excellent, especially for a minivan."

Anonymous, VA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Surprisingly quick for such a large, heavy minivan."

John B., WI (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Drives like a car! Handling and acceleration are much better than you’d expect from a minivan."

Kelly P., CA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Drive is a little on the soft side. Other than liking a little firmer suspension I have no other complaints. Toyota has a winner in the Sienna."

Albert A., CA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"The Sienna accelerates like a race car and handles very well considering it's size. Besides the RAV4, very responsive to driver input."

James H., CO (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"The Sienna drives well and the turning radius is great, but the gas pedal is touchy and it is not a quiet ride. Even after driving it for 3 years, it is hard to gauge the gas pedal starting out. Otherwise a very good car."

Anonymous, NY (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"It is the easiest car we have ever had to drive. We don’t get tired on long trips"

Gwen C., NE (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Acceleration is fine for a minivan, but the handling is wonderful. My sister said it best when she said “it handles like a much smaller vehicle!‿"

Andrew B., MO (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Very smooth ride."

Anonymous, GA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Acceleration is great; on par with most modern vehicles. Very great for long highway trips or back roads that have gravel. In soft sand you really do need 4 wheel drive. While towing the Sienna holds up well accelerating and braking almost on par with most trucks (stay below the 3500 lb limit). Smaller boats, motorcycles, and ultra lite travel trailers are all doable with a Sienna."

Anonymous, TX (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Very smooth acceleration. If I need to pass a car, I can quickly get back into my driving lane."

Anonymous, WI (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Strong engine, Quick steering"

"It has enough power and gets decent mileage"

Thomas O., MA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

Lorenzo M., FL (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"acceleration very poor--car is under powered-handles well"

Fred L., TX (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"for a minivan, the handling is very good. very good and responsive acceleration. has the feel of an older v8."

Victor V., RI (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"All v ery acceptable and without and malfunctions"

Alan K., GA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"To this day I still have to be careful accelerating from a stoplight or stop sign. It really wants to go. Great acceleration and power. It handles very nicely even when I use it for pulling or small trailer."

Thomas C., WA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Acceleration is good even when towing 2000 lb trailer"

Anonymous, MI (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Extremely smooth, quiet and refined ride."

Duane B., CO (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Acceleration is excellent, on major highways it fast and smooth."

Sal S., QC (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"In ordinary driving use, accelerates & drives well. Did not do so well as towing vehicle for 2500-lb tent trailer. Have 2WD model, inadequate traction for pulling trailer up gravel driveway--should have gotten 4WD. Also, hitch mount had to be mounted too low to ground."

Anonymous, MD (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Very good acceleration"

Jeffrey C., IN (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"It's not a sports car but very secure."

Anonymous, WI (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Acceleration is very good with the V-6 engine and gets good gas mileage considering the vehicle weight."

Anonymous, WI (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Never had a van before and I really like it. Best things are power and the AC. Worst is road/wind noise."

WILLIAM M., DE (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Turning radius"

Anonymous, PA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Plenty of power, great visual all around..Seating arrangement is good, although for 8 would be very crowded..There is some tire noise, may be to type of tire when purchased..(Michelin)...Very satisfied.with the vehicle"

JOHN B., AZ (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"The "magic carpet" ride you mentioned is just that ...... acceleration is fine except that occasionally at the wrong RPM in some gear, not much happens ......... handling is not so great; ponderous w/ understeer, but the electric steering is worse yet, and provides no road feel whatsoever. Additionally, the beltline or something is too high for me: I can't ever pull straight into a parking space any longer (after decades of carefully parking). My vehicle is always off to one side or the other"

DAVID H., CA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Handling is not as good as my 2009 sienna which has excellent handling."

Anonymous, OH (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"This is a VMI conversion handicap accessible van. The suspension is jacked up because of the conversion and the vehicle is a bit unstable, especially when cornering at speed. This vehicle also has a intermittent braking problem that the dealer cannot figure out. Once in a while it feels like the brakes go from power brakes to non power brakes and you suddenly have to brake much harder than usual to stop the vehicle."

Anonymous, MO (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"The run-flat tires were flawed/unsafe and required replacement. Extreme vibration due to failed cords in tire walls."

Anonymous, IL (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Good handling and acceleration for size of vehicle."

Anonymous, MD (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"6 speed transmission is much smoother and more responsive than the old version was"

Anonymous, PA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Road grip on wet surfaces going up hill from a stop is very poor. Need to make sure there is a lot of distance with on coming traffic to ensure a safe merge with traffic because weight of van causes tires to not grip the road."

Anonymous, PA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"When going down hill, there is absolutely no compression which is hard on pads and rotors, not to mention the proper function of the cruise control (gains speed)"

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"I like everything about the ride, but I find the driver's seat to be uncomfortable on long trips. I need more cushioning in the seat. The lumbar control is helpful, however."

Anonymous, VA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"They are higher and more comfortable that sedans"

Thomas O., MA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"COMFORTABLE FRONT AND BACK SEATS"

Harry S., PA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Every seat is comfortable - eight. Seats move well for adjustments"

Hugh F., LA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Most comfortable ride I’ve ever had. Handles nicely but the ride comfort of the seats, well as my wife put it, if’s like sitting in your most comfortable seat in your living room!"

Anonymous, SC (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Really smooth ride"

Anonymous, IA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"I love the adjustments you can make for each driver and the memory button. When I drive after the wife all I do is hit the number 2 button and the seat is exactly where I want it. Very comfortable. Very little noise and a great ride."

Thomas C., WA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Very comfortable ride, but somewhere in the back of the vehicle, there's a persistent rattling noise that I can't find because I'm always driving when I hear it. I assume it's one of the adjustable rear seats."

Joseph S., FL (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"I am a disabled vet with a lot of pain if seating for long periods. The seats in the sienna have six way adjustments and a lumbar support that make it feel like seating in your most comfortable chair at home. The arm rest adds to the comfort. On my trips to Canada I drive as mush as 18 hours a day. I could not do this without the seats in my Sienna."

G G., NC (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Comfortable but too much road noise bleeds through, stifling normal conversation."

Robert T., FL (2014 Toyota Sienna)

Andrew B., MO (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"I think the sienna is very noisy but the dealer says it is normal. newer ones are quieter"

Anonymous, MO (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"It is very roomy, carries 7 passengers and lots of luggage with ease. Back three seats fold down easily, making big lfat area for carrying furniture etc.. On the other hand it is noisier than we'd hoped."

Woodruff H., MA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Lots of room in all seats and smooth noiseless ride"

Kenneth K., NY (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"I wish that I had multiple driver memory for seats, mirrors and steering wheel."

Larry S., OH (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"The seats stain and mar very easily. Our previous Sienna had better fabric"

Jan-Dick C., PA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Easily seats a large crew of kids and adults in comfortable seats. Environmental controls ensure everyone is as cool or warm as they want to be."

Kelly P., CA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Seats are very comfortable"

Mallikarjun V., CA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Roomy, rides and drives well. Would like a little better gas mileage."

Anonymous, OH (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"There has been a mysterious metallic squeak since we bought the van, especially in extreme heat/cold. I've taken it back to the dealer, but then it cannot be reproduced. It is my only comfort issue. Otherwise, 50k miles later and we still LOVE our Sienna, especially for our road trips."

Nicole Q., PA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Seats are comfortable"

Anonymous, MI (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Very comfortable vehicle with good acceleration and easy to be in over a long trip."

Linda J., MN (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"seats very uncomfortable--very noisily--ride good"

Fred L., TX (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"It is practically impossible to clean or retrieve a dropped object from between the seats and the console. The console one our 2007 sienna was easily removable."

Anonymous, SK (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"The Sienna is the ultimate traveling machine for any weather conditions. The FWD is amazing to drive in the snow as well. The seats are comfortable and ride is luxurious."

James H., CO (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Middle row and back seats are tilted up. More difficult for car seat positioning. Not able to use middle seat in middle row for car seat. Front seats do not support the whole legs, in other words they are too short. They are also not wide enough. The outsides are curved upwards a little bit. For women with lots of hair, the head rests make it difficult to wear a pony tail or put it up. There is plenty of leg room in the front and the middle rows. The back is okay, but if the middle seats are moved forward a tad there can be plenty in the back."

Anonymous, OK (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Seats are comfortable. Middle seats have footrests. Noise is higher than normal, but not overwhelming. The ride is smooth and comfortable."

Charles G., NY (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Seats are good but road noise is way too high. It may prevent me from getting the next one"

Chris C., ON (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Very comfortable, you have to be careful because you don’t realize how fast you are going. Usually you are over the speed limit."

Sal S., QC (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Front seats are comfortable on long drives. Middle seats comfy but way too much work to remove when extra storage is needed. Other than a little too much wind noise very satisfied with overall comfort."

Gary M., ON (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Very comfortable seats for long drives. Ride is smooth and vehicle absorbs bumps very well. Engine and wind noise are negligible."

Anonymous, KS (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"JUST VERY COMFORTABLE"

Robert B., ON (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Wind and road noise is loud"

Anonymous, TN (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"I figured I'd put this in at this point. It is a handicap modified Toyota Sienna. Modifications done by BraunAbility and Vision. The Sienna was the only one that came with a rear entry ramp, hence the purchase."

Anonymous, LA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"I have back problems. Use the lumbar support built into the driver's seat. Comfortable ride. Problems: One question you did not ask in this section is about any body hardware problems in 2018 on this 2014 Sienna. On the driver's side sliding passenger door, the upper cable rusted out and broke. It would cost about $1,600+ to repair with a new cable AND the motor assembly. I chose to have the door deactivated."

"Comfortable seats and roomy cabin."

John B., WI (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Very comfortable on long rides and easily adjustable"

Juan O., NY (2014 Toyota Sienna)

Bill R., AB (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"I love how much room there is in the back seats. Way more than other minivans"

Virginia J., NC (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"The seats in the Sienna Limited are very comfortable and you can adjust them to fit what ever your size and reach is. The second row seats become lunge seats including footrests and are used often by our kids or even adults while waiting for a kid to get out of a sports practice. The third row is easy to access and fits 3 people very easily."

I always feel I am in control of the vehicle and enjoy going on trips to the coast. Plenty of room to meet all our luggage needs. Great for seniors. Easy access in and out of the van."

Perryman J., MD (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"A very comfortable vehicle to drive and reliable."

Anonymous, WI (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Rough loud ride due to run flat tires being the only option on this AWD vehicle with no spare. Run flats lasted to just under 20,000 miles and were replaced with another set. We had a flatten after one year of second set and they were down to 5/32 tread left. Nobody in large town except dealer offered run flats after overnight stay awaiting tire shops to search for run flats. Dealer then said we had to replace all tires because if tread was more than 2/32 difference in depth from new tire to use..."

Jeff M., WV (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"It has gotten a little noisier"

D D., KY (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"We have the leather seats and they are mostly supportive. On long trips the offset of the seat both driver and passenger causes me to become uncomfortable whether driving or as a passenger. The problem lies with me almost having to sit sideways at times in order to stretch my feet out. I am only 5' 8" so it is not due to me being tall. Sitting this way puts stress on my sciatica and causes discomfort. Even though there is more insulation than in an SE, our XLE is still has ore road noise than I..."

"Road noise is louder than I experienced with my previous Honda Odyessey"

GARY W., TN (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"The Sienna is a great long distance cruiser with comfortable seats and low noise levels. The climate control system is not the best, as it does not always maintain the temperature indicated on the display. The ENTUNE radio controls are TERRIBLE, requiring too much "eyes off the road" time to select stations or change functions. These controls should not be on a touch screen that requires the selection of multiple levels of buttons to select a station. Buttons should have tactile feedback tha"

HOSSEN N., NJ (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"As I stated before... A little less plastic... Easier operations of tge electronics"

Anonymous, MD (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Far worse than the Odyssey I had before. Limited cargo space available when center seats removed because of protruding sharp seat rails. Indicated that I required center cargo room but was not told this was a problem. Main reason I hate the car."

Anonymous, OR (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"We prefer the bench seats vs the Captains Chairs because of the ease of putting in the safety car seats for the children. The "jump" seat provided between the Captains Chairs looks and feels like a suicide seat to us. We would never put a child or dog in it and yet it is too small for an adult. It is dangerous and useless."

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"The van is good but is over priced especially when one has to replace the tires EVERY year ($1,000) due to Toyota's wheel and other design flaws."

Todd M., MA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Sienna is an efficient people-hauler, and reliability is very good. It can feel truck-like at times, but for the price it delivers great value."

Anonymous, NC (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Helps old people pack all their supplies for an out of town trip and performs well on the highway."

Alan K., GA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"My vehicle is an accessible conversion van which I thought cost too much for what you get."

William S., VA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"Got the vehicle at almost 30000 after the discounts. Toyota dealership diagnosed and found problem with the suspension at 75000 miles; replaced same day no charge. Toyota has held up excellent on long road trips. Even after hitting a tire in the road and damaging the vehicle; still drivable and completed vacation. Tows like a champ. Can tow a 19 foot boat and still accelerate decent. V6 is a amazing deal and very versatile from sea to shining sea."

Anonymous, TX (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"for the best deal buy at end of year and shop around on internet and different dealers we drove 200 miles and saved 10000 dollars"

Brian R., CA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"One of the best values for your money in the market today. Comfortable smooth drive, plenty of power, I feel very safe because the Sienna handles like a luxury car. We have had our Sienna for more than three years with very few problems. But we did have our battery replaced. Plan to buy a new Sienna in a few years. I am almost 80 and we need reliable safe transportation."

Albert A., CA (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"It is an all wheel drive and has no spare tire. To not have a spare on a heavy all wheel drive vehicle like this one is unbelievable. I has cost us about $1000 per year in towing, replacement, damage, hotels while waiting, Etc. because of these terrible Bridgestone tires. They are an expensive failure - they don't run flat for any distance at all - less than 10 miles. I would never even consider buying another vehicle that has no spare tire."

In less than 36k miles, we have needed repairs on the following: air conditioning (evaporator coil cut itself on an untrimmed plastic edge in the plenum), radio/nav headunit (stopped syncing via bluetooth for unknown reasons), and drivers side power sliding door (intermittently reaches 6 inches from closing and autoreverses.)"

"The plastic side panels look very cheap for a $30,000+ car. The plastic seat bases have cracked and are falling off."

Anonymous, IL (2014 Toyota Sienna)

"It looks the best out of all the vans available"
