"I would love a GTI but the Alltrack is more practical and all wheel drive. I've found in previous Volkswagens did not need all wheel drive, good snow tires, Bridgestone Blizzaks did the trick. Found biggest drawback of previous VWs was ground clearance, Alltrack alleviates that. Also have noted that the AWD minimizes wheel spin on wet roads, that, to me, is a problem with FWD."

It has a manual lumbar adjustment that only has one setting but it's perfect for me. Others may wish it had different settings. "The seats give good support, but after driving for three or more hours, they start to feel a little thin. The noise level is reasonable. My car has the big moon roof and lots of glass so there is less sound dampening material for outside noise. The car handles bumps well."

"The front seats are very comfortable but the back seat has very little leg room which requires pulling the front seat up (uncomfortably) when carrying passengers in the back. They could give up 2 inches of the generous cargo space to improve the leg room. The tires are a bit noisy which may be the brand of tire, not the fault of the car."
