Antonio Carrejo is a policy counsel for Consumer Reports, based in the organization’s West Coast office. His work focuses on policy and legislative advocacy related to student loans, debt collection, banking and other consumer finance issues. While in law school, Antonio externed with the California Law Revision Commision, where he assisted the Legislature and Governor by examining California law and recommending needed reforms. Antonio has both executive and legislative government experience, having served as a policy analyst and speechwriter for the Governor of New Mexico and as a legislative assistant in the New Mexico House of Representatives. He holds a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and two bachelor degrees from the University of New Mexico in Political Science and History. Antonio is licensed to practice law in California and currently lives in San Francisco, CA.
