Dr. Quinta Warren leads Consumer Reports’ Sustainability Policy team and contributes in developing and executing winning strategies to address the impacts and inequities of the climate crisis and local air pollution, and to build a more sustainable future for consumers.
Quinta brings more than a decade of experience in sustainability and energy to CR. Prior to joining CR, she founded and ran Energy Research Consulting, a firm that helps to accelerate entrepreneurial ventures in Africa by providing technical and sustainable expertise on energy and water. She served as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) fellow in the U.S. Department of Energy to manage domestic and international policy around carbon management and power generation.
She also served as a AAAS Fellow with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a U.S. government agency that provides funding for international development, where she provided technical energy expertise and contributed to the development of energy projects in emerging economies. She also worked at ConocoPhillips, where she developed novel CO2 capture solvents and methods, and optimized production of heavy oil and natural gas to minimize water use.
Quinta holds a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University.
IN THEIR OWN WORDS:
