Comment:
I run the dishwasher every 2 or 3 days. It did not dry the dishes at all the first time. I added the rinse agent which is expensive to use and it still does not dry very well. Have to towel off everything before putting away.
Top mounted controls to tell when the cycle is done are difficult to see.
Everything is plastic and flimsy inside.
The cycles are very long, more than 2 hours. How can this be energy efficient? Wish I kept the old dishwasher.

Comment:
Any time you purchase a new dishwasher I think loading is troublesome at first. I like the options on loading this. I have used the turbo feature a few times but most often it cleans well without using it. The flip tops on the flatware baskets come in handy. Also a time or two I have needed the adjustable rack which I thought I would never use. I also love that the tines flip down and up to accomodate what needs to be cleaned. I was not real keen on the grey interior that Kenmore uses at first, I decided not to spend the extra on stainless steel interior, but kind of wish now that I had. However, the gray no longer bothers me. I miss having a rinse cycle on mine. It seems if it sits too long with dishes I have rinsed I can smell an oder even with the door closed. I didn't want a dishwasher with a filter I had to clean although there is rarely anything in it when I check. I wonder if the plastic liner has anything to do with the odor?
My biggest complaint is not knowing when it is finished because I like my dishes dry and I cannot see if it is finished without opening the door because of my counter overhang.
I sound disappointed with it, but I really am not. It is louder than I thought it would be but no worse than my older one which went out way too soon.

Comment:
Extended warrenty was not purchased. We had a seal failure within one year and three months time. We had to go to an authorized repair center, where we ordered a new shaft housing seal kit and spend $80 in labor and this did not fix the leak. Our hardwood floor was getting damaged in the process. We found another leak with one of the pumps that could not be repaired. This is getting too expensive to repair. Stay far away from this dishwasher! We are very disappointed with this dishwasher.
