About This Brand
Whirlpool's over-the-range microwaves feature what the company calls the Velos design, a venting system that removes smoke better than any other over-the-range model we've tested. The company also sells convection and nonconvection microwaves, some with speed-cooking capability. The ovens are sold at most major retailers and cost $300 to $800.

Watts This is the manufacturer's figure of the microwave power output. In general, the more watts an oven offers, the greater its cooking power-and the faster your food will be cooked. That said, differences in claimed wattage of 100 watts or less are unlikely to result in significant differences in performance.
Detailed prompts Display offers instructions to guide you through the cooking process.
Convection mode A few microwaves include a convection oven feature, which has a heating element and a fan that distributes heat. In convection mode, you can set the oven temperature as you would in a traditional oven to bake or roast items.
Sensor Controls the cooking and reheating time automatically. It shuts off an oven when it determines (usually by sensing steam) that food is hot enough.
Stainless/SS-look option Stainless-steel is stylish, but it shows fingerprints. Another option: a vinyl-covered metal finish that gives you a stainless-steel look but resists smudging.
I have had this microwave for over 4 years. The only repair on the microwave has been the casing around the door cracked because the bottom strip is made of plastic instead of metal. The control panel is very easy to use and read. I am going to be replacing this microwave because of the door crack but will be getting another one very similar just a newer model. I would recommend this microwave to anyone looking for a convection microwave.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
Great until breaks
Easy To Clean
Great Variety Of Uses
Have had about 1 1/2 years. Before first year the control would start beeping in the middle of the night. The control panel would lock out and not work. Repaired under warranty. Had to replace door. Tech said known problem with the wires leading from the unit to the door pinching. This one did and may or may not have caused the brain panel to malfunction. Worked great for another six months then the turntable quit. Thank goodness we bought extended warranty. Replaced turntable motor with no trouble and works great again. Just really don't trust it now. Quality should be better but now everything is made in China and quality is terrible. This is a truly great unit when it works.
