CES 2012 preview: What's ahead in TVs?

Consumer Reports News: January 03, 2012 11:23 AM

The next Consumer Electronics Show is almost upon us: Next week, our electronics reporters and testers, including TV expert Jim Willcox, travel to Las Vegas to soak in the newest cutting-edge CE technology. The fun starts Monday (press day), January 9.

In our video, Jim talks about what he expects to find new for televisions at the 2012 CES, including OLED TVs in sizes up to 50 and even 55 inches; an evolution of 3D TV, with more companies jumping onto the passive-technology bandwagon; more Google TV news; and updated remotes, such as one with a QWERTY keyboard on back and others that use gesture and voice to control your TV.

Check back here often for more previews and our on-the-show-floor coverage of CES.
