Three boxes on a colorful background for Amazon Prime Day.

Sure, there are plenty of Amazon Prime Day deals priced at less than $100. But it's difficult to know whether that $99 TV is a steal or a clunker that doesn't deserve space in your home.

To help budget-conscious shoppers—who shouldn't have to sacrifice quality for a low price—we went searching through low-cost options looking for the most promising deals on items including headphones, smart speakers, and kitchen gadgets. We're also searching through sales from Walmart's Big Save event, Target's Deal Days promotion, and other retailer's sales to find the best products at the best prices.

Don't see anything you like just yet? We'll continue updating our Amazon Prime Day coverage as more deals become available. Keep in mind that these prices are accurate at the time of publication, but some deals may sell out and prices can change throughout the day.

Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet

The Fire TV Cube will be 30 percent off on Prime Day. It is a combination of two Amazon devices: the Echo Dot and the Fire TV streaming device. The perk of combining them is that you effectively get a universal remote that you can control with voice commands. This model scored well in CR’s tests, thanks to faster response times than the first version’s, as well as Dolby Vision HDR and versatile controls. You can adjust the volume, change channels, and even search for shows and open different streaming services all without lifting a finger.

Amazon Fire 7 Kids Edition Tablet

This model comes with a thick and chunky rubber case that protects it from falls. Even more comforting is Amazon’s “two-year, worry-free guarantee,” which means Amazon will replace your tablet if it breaks. The model also comes with a one-year free subscription to Amazon Kids+, which gives you and your family access to thousands of kid-friendly movies, TV shows, books, and apps. Battery yet, Amazon’s robust parental controls allow you to create different profiles for different kids, setting hard limits on what each can look at, and when and how long the tablet can be used.

      Samsung Galaxy Tab A

This is a decent discount for an entry-level tablet that performed well in our labs. The tablet has an 8-inch display and a battery that should last around 11 hours. The biggest knock against the model on sale? It only has 32GB of storage, which doesn’t leave much space for photos, games, and other large apps. But that’s easy to fix with an inexpensive SD card.

Amazon Echo Show 8 Smart Speaker

The Show 8 is a great middle-of-the-road option in terms of quality and price, especially during Prime Day. On Oct. 13 and 14, it will be available for half off. The Show 8 had test results that were similar to the second-generation Show’s, but it didn’t score quite as highly. Its screen is 2 inches smaller, so it’s a bit less ideal for viewing. But given that the price tag is dramatically smaller, this is a top deal to consider.

            Jabra Elite Active 65T Earbuds

Yes, that looks like a slim discount—on a model that’s a few years old—but this used to be one of the most popular true wireless options on the market. And while you can now buy an updated version, the Elite 65t remains a great performer in our ratings. So don’t let any of that scare you away from this deal.

Hamilton Beach Programmable Alexa Smart 49350 Coffee Maker

This Hamilton Beach brewer’s main selling point may be its voice control through the Amazon Alexa digital assistant, but it’s still a good quality coffee maker. It scores decently in our brew performance test and its carafe is very easy to hold and pour. Alexa integration aside, this drip machine features auto-shutoff, a cleaning indicator, brew-strength control, and programming.

This Ring camera features 1080p HD video, a 110-degree field of view, alert schedules, monitoring zones, and voice control via Amazon Alexa. With an optional subscription to a Ring Protect Plan, you’ll get a rolling 60 days of motion-triggered video clips, photo snapshots between recordings, and person alerts.
