The manufacturer claims a battery life of 1 year. An (optional) chest strap is required to get real-time heart-rate readings. It is available in small, large sizes. It has an accelerometer sensor. It has socialization features: Learns your activity level and proposes a personalized daily goal. Automatically syncs to Garmin Connect to save, plan and share progress with friends. It includes inactivity alerts which remind you to move if you are sitting for a long time. It has extra features such as: uses Garmin Connect to pair with a heart rate monitor/sensor (available separately). Has auto goal which analyzes your previous activities and provides suggested goals.
