Best Small Gas Grills From Premium Brands

CR compares the Weber Spirit, Napoleon Triumph, and Broil King Baron

Couple cooking on a premium gas grill.

Weber, Napoleon, and Broil King know how to make a great grill. In fact, the trio makes three of the top-rated large grills in Consumer Reports’ gas grill ratings.

The trouble is, each of those models will set you back at least $1,000. “These are really three of the most aspirational grill brands on the market,” says Mark Allwood, CR’s market analyst for grills. “But they know not everyone will want to spend $1,000 or more on a grill, so all three spent some time revamping their entry-level grill lines in the past few years.”

Now, for half that amount, you can buy one of the entry-level offerings from these premium manufacturers: the Weber Spirit II E-210, the Napoleon Triumph 325SBPK, and the Broil King Baron S320.

While their prices are similar (each of the new small gas grills costs $400 to $500), we found meaningful differences in their performance in our extensive grill tests, as well as in what features each managed to include at a more modest price.
