Best Luxury Cars You Can Buy Right Now

These models have high scores in our road tests, are reliable, and have standard advanced safety systems

Lexus ES is among CR's Best Luxury Cars You Can Buy Right Now.

Just because a vehicle is considered a luxury model doesn't mean it's good. All of these cars have convenience and tech features that often aren't available on everyday sedans. Many models include powerful engines capable of delivering strong performance. Inside, their cabins are replete with leather surfaces, high-quality wood or metal trim, power-everything seats, and vibrant displays.

But none of that means the vehicle will be one you want to drive, let alone own. Whether it's poor reliability or subpar performance in our road tests, many luxury sedans don't have the goods to be recommended by Consumer Reports. To find out which luxury cars are the best you can buy today, we compiled a list ranked by top Overall Score, according to CR's ratings.

Our Overall Score encompasses a vehicle’s performance in our road tests; the latest results from the reliability and owner satisfaction sections of CR’s exclusive Annual Auto Surveys; the availability of forward collision warning (FCW), automatic emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection, and blind spot warning (BSW); and results from government and insurance-industry crash tests, if they're available.

The sedans listed below are ranked from first to 10th, and range from compact models to large, full-sized models. Note that there are 11 vehicles because of some tie scores.
