Most midsized sedans deliver an excellent combination of passenger space, cargo room, and fuel economy at attractive prices. An increasing number of them even come with all-wheel drive for rough weather, making them an even more compelling alternative to an SUV.

But there's a number of midsized sedans that aren't very reliable, according to our exclusive survey data, which include information on over 420,000 vehicles. To keep you from wasting your time and money on repairs down the road, Consumer Reports compiled this list of the most reliable new midsized sedans to help you make a smart, informed purchase decision.
