As a Survey Research Associate at Consumer Reports, Nick Gallivan contributes to the team’s nationally-representative and member survey work. Some survey topics of focus include large appliance lifetime expectations, Americans’ funeral planning process, and the journey that parents and caregivers take in buying products for babies and young children. In addition, he has contributed to various reports, including the examination of research on consumer sustainability practices.
Prior to joining CR, Nick worked as an instructor of an experimental research methods course at Kansas State University, where he taught research design, survey methodology, statistical analysis, and the psychological foundations of behavior. Previously, he worked in higher education student affairs as a Diversity Coordinator.
Nick holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Iowa and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from Kansas State University.
