Comment:
This dehumidifier worked fine for almost a year. The compressor malfunctioned and would not stop running. I had to unplug it to make it stop because the power button would not turn it off! I don't think I will buy another Frigidaire.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
I am in the same boat as all the others! Worked fine for 1 year then stopped working. The fan began rubbing against the housing making a lot of noise and at the same time, the compressor ran then not the fan!! Even when it appeared to be working, it was not removing any moisture from the air. So basically, at 13 months, it is dead!! Do not buy!!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
I have only had this a few days so cannot comment on durability. This replaced a unit that I had for years but must have gradually lost Freon and became inefficient.

The unit takes out water very fast even at quiet low fan setting. Controls are simple and intuitive. Filter is a big plus since in my other humifier coils got covered with lint and were impossible to clean.
How long have you owned it:
A month or less
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
