About - Cuisinart Crystal SCC-1000 Limited Edition Perfec Temp
The Cuisinart Crystal SCC-1000 Limited Edition Perfec Temp is part of the coffeemaker
test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, drip coffeemaker
models like the Crystal SCC-1000 Limited Edition Perfec Temp are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.
The ability to reach 195° to 205° F for five or six minutes, the industry standard for optimal brewing.
Reflects ease of filling the reservoir, placing the filter, gauging the amount of coffee remaining, and cleaning up. It also reflects how clear we judged the controls.
Covers handle comfort, tendency to drip while pouring, balance of a full carafe, and how easy it was to empty the last liquid. Models with no score here brew into single-serve cups or are brew-and-dispense models. The latter hold the coffee in a tank; you fill your cup by pressing it against the dispenser lever.
The following models have the same ratings as Cuisinart Crystal SCC-1000 Limited Edition Perfec Temp.
Features and specs may vary
The Ratings applied to untested model Cuisinart Perfec Temp DCC-2800 come from our tests of model Cuisinart Crystal SCC-1000 Limited Edition Perfec Temp, which in our judgment is enough alike in its performance, features, and specs that our test results apply to both. About This Brand
Cuisinart's products are high-end and are found in department stores, specialty stores, and home stores. Its coffeemaker offerings include most categories, ranging from single serve through To-Go and various capacity multiserve coffeemakers. Prices range from $30 to $200.
I have found the Cuisineart SCC-1000 to do everything I have asked of it and it also makes a great brew with a couple of different settings for brew strength. I have had it now for a little over 6 months with no breakdowns.<br />I would have no problem recommending this product, my only gripe is that it's a little pricey at $200

Don't wast your money
Coffee Doesn't Stay Hot
This is the third one of these. First one lasted a long time. The second one, the heating element went out about the 8-10th month. Bought a third and heating element is gone as of today 8/16/14. It is SIX months old. We make 6 cups in the am and the same in the pm. Another waste of money. Cuisinart is living on their name and history. However, they DO NOT have a future. Junk, junk, junk.

Long Brew Time
Over rated! We specifically ordered due to Consumer Reports rating. Our previous cuisinart model was much better. My wife even hates the tacky diamonds on the front.
