The probe stopped working after a while. I have had two of them. The probe has failed on both. Otherwise a nice unit. It would be great if they sold the probe as a separate part!!

I can't tell you how many times I have yelled at this thing! Little bitty switches hidden in battery compartments. Might as well take batts out after every use (and leave the covers off because you have to do that before use every time) because the batts will be dead next time you want to use it. Please don't lose the instructions, because nothing on this unit makes any sense - you need to read them every time. Stupid barnyard characters, smartproof controls and almost done vocal warnings! I know that the probes are tender and cannot be submerged and it still failed. Maybe all these devices stink, I don't know, but this one will just raise your blood pressure - don't bother. Oh yeah, forget customer service and the spare parts are only available from them - if you can find them on their site - and probes cost 75% of a new unit with shipping.
