Good mixer but Flour dusting every time!!

I resent the fact that any of the KitchenAid machines require many different attachments - bought separately. I cannot, it seems, use this machine at the lowest or highest speed without a flour dusting. Oh yes, let me buy a ridiculous plastic shield rather than clean up the mess on the counter/floor. Where was Consumer Reports when doing trials on this machine design. Yes, it is an efficient stand mixer, but so was my mother's Sunbeam which lasted the family for over 30 years, and flour did not shoot out at every use.

Most annoying. As is the fact that one must purchase an extra beater that actually reaches the bowl sides. Consumers were let down by such positive reviews of the KitchenAid - these issues would have been dealt with before the machine left the factory.

Zero online support for model KA555. Telephone support, Check YouTube.

YouTube has a video on head height adjustment, but that solution is not effective.

Will have to buy a new mixer, or eat enamel and stainless-steel particles in our baked goods.
