Hoover no longer carries parts: specifically the handle.<br />When the dispensor button broke, my repairperson tried the get a new handle, but Hoover no longer carries it. The result is the machine is now useless. I had to throw it away.

Best Uses
Years ago we owned a cleaner from the competitor. IT didn't last long, and the repairman told us Hoover was better. We bought the previous version of this model--the same machine but without the heating element. We've had to replace the hose twice, but it still runs like a champ. Yeah, it's a cheap plastic machine. But when we have spills or pet accidents, it solves the immediate problem. The machine doesn't match up to a professional steam cleaning, which we still do once a year. But for us this machine has served its purpose well.
