Comment:
I use my dryer (and it's partner washer) almost every day and I have never been happier! This is the first time we didn't buy a Kenmore appliance and I am soooo glad! The dryer is quiet and efficient and one of the BEST features is the steam fresh setting that eliminates ironing!! This dryer also has a steam sanitizing setting (both use tap water) which is priceless when you have animals or kids. I strongly sugget invsting in the storage draws they are mounted on (this all but elimiates bending while doing laundry...what a blessing!). The only fault I've found w/the dryer is that the lint screen gets over full if you do a large load of cotton towels or the like.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
As my headline states: Excellent Dryer with a Few Exceptions. The main exception is that the moisture sensor seems to get confused at times. Sometimes my clothes come out dried to perfection, other times they come out somewhat damp. I have not been able to establish any pattern (i.e. heavy/ bulky vs thinner materials).

The other exceptions are: One; the End of Cycle Signal (see my washer review). You cannot hear it unless you are very close-by or your machines are in an open area. If they are in a separate laundry room and the main part of your living space is some distance away; you'll never hear the signal. I purchased a digital baby monitor to solve this problem; but only consider this a band-aid and LG should address this issue on future models.

The other exception is that the drum light does not stay on long enough when the drying cycle has finished and it only comes on when the dryer is turned on.

I bought this dryer as a matching pair with the matching washer. Mine are finished in metallic graphite and are quite beautiful. This is the first dryer that I have ever owned where it is finished doing it's job before the washer; it's usually the other way around.

My overall energy bills went down since buying this dryer in the gas version. Before I had an electric dryer and where I live; the electric rates are through the roof but gas rates are very reasonable, so take this into consideration when making your purchase. The area that I moved from, 3 years ago, the opposite was true.
