Contains bleach Based on the package ingredients list and other package claims, some detergents include bleach in their formulas. While the presence of bleach has not seemed to act on the baked-on soils in our tests, it might help with tea or similar stains.
Contains enzymes Based on the package ingredients list and other package claims, most tested detergents have enzymes, which can break up food for easier removal.
I got this by mistake, putting a big package of it in the cart in haste thinking I was buying Cascade Platinum gel-packets, which I have used for many months with great satisfaction.

I have a year-old Bosch dishwasher which I have run on Normal with non-heated Dry since I bought it (until this Cascade product); I never had the need or imagination to change the settings. This Cascade Complete ActionPak product somehow deposits more soil than it removes. I have to run the dishes through a second cycle (and ActionPak) and even then sometimes the dishes are not clean. And it's not as though I am asking it to clean baked-on gruft.

I have tested Cascade Complete ActionPaks in every way I can think of, pre-rinsing, different cycles, etc., without success. I have alternated it with the Platinum product; doing so really emphasizes the difference in performance.

I now see that the Platinum product is rated below the Complete ActionPaks. Interesting.

I still have a couple of dozen ActionPaks to run through. Drat! I am too cheap to just heave what's left, so I will pointlessly torture myself with each additional diswasher-load until the supply is exhausted.

Very good detergent, used to be better
I run my dishwasher once or twice a week so my dishes do sit a few days before I run it. I can generally be assured this product will do the job and leave me with clean dishes. The orange ones smell better than the blue/green ones. I do find I have to be more careful to load the dishwasher properly and that they do not clean quite as well as the older ones containing phosphates, but despite being less forgiving, they do get the job done.

I have tried Finish and found that it left a white film on the dishes, especially the cookware. Both products failed to clean coffee and tea stains. However, I found that if I add one ounce of bleach to each load, then the detergent cleans like it used to.
