| About This Brand |
|---|
Hoover introduced its first vacuum in 1907 and has established itself as one of the most recognizable brands in America. More recently, Hoover was bought from Whirlpool by TTI Floor Care, the owners of Dirt Devil. Hoover sells a wide variety of uprights at mass-market retailers, with models ranging from as little as $50 to $300. It also makes hand and stick vacuums, canister models (about $80 to $300), deep cleaners, central vacuums, bare-floor cleaners, and an outdoor sweeper, though the company is best known for its uprights. |

Comment:
This vacuum has good suction. That's about it. Otherwise, it is heavy, hard to change bags, hard to clean between the roller and the plastic hood, inconvenient.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This vacuum broke within four months. The unit clogs, has little suction and is an overall disappointment. I'm buying a SEBO. My family member owns one and can't say enough good things about it.

Comment:
Straight out the box, broke right away. Knob to adjust carpet height did not turn. Unable to push across carpet. When I called customer service I was told I can take it one hour drive north of me to have it repaired or return it for a refund. Rep was rude and nonchalant about my frustration. Wrote an e-mail & got a smart mouth respond to adjust the carpet height on the vacuum cleaner. I returned it to a local Walmart as I ordered it thru Walmart.com, wasted my time, my gas & stood in line for over 30 minutes. Hoover will not get my $$$ anymore!!
How long have you owned it:
A month or less
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
