Comment:
I literally vacuum everyday since I have 5 dogs. Had a Dyson (Oreck before that) for 10 yrs and it was great.. when started having issues, decided to try Shark. .will go back to Dyson asap. It's fine for low pile carpet.. but the large area rug I have is higher pile and it's a struggle to get over it. The wood floors, it just doesn't do a very good job unless I turn on the rotator and even then, better to use mop. The rotator gets tied up frequently with dog hair that I have to manually stop, pull all the hair off. The great suction just isn't there except on the low pile carpet. While I like the detachable canister (which Dyson doesn't have), other than that will never buy another. I kept trying to give Shark benefit but just not there.

Needed to replace my bagged Kenmore as it was getting too heavy to use. This Shark is very easy to use and with the extra long cord, I can move about the rooms easily. The rotating head is wonderful and enables me to move under furniture easily. Its QUIET! While it is good on my hardwoods and tile floors, it does tend to kick out some (and I mean very little) dirt...or more specifically some of the green debris from our artificial christmas tree. Maybe that has to do with static electricity on the synthetic green stuff! I have low-pile oriental rugs on my hardwoods and this Shark glides easily over them. It's very easy to move from rugs to hardwoods with ease. A previous purchase (which I returned the next day) literally lifted those room size rugs up. Shark can be used on room sized orientals and the smaller ones as well with no problems. While some comments have been complaints about using the wand and having the base of the vacuum tip over, I simple move it around with my hand while using the wand in my other hand. Such an easy adjustment to make. Very pleased with this product with the VERY SMALL exception to the pickup ability of some synthetic particles on hardwoods and tile

I've had this for a few weeks. Compared to the Hoover Wind Tunnel it replaced, it's a Rock Star. The hose is so much more flexible and longer. And that Hoover was loud. I didn't realize how loud until I got this. This Shark has great suction, and it's perfect for a home with wood floors and a white shepherd. It has some quirks, like sometimes falling over in Lift Away mode if the cord gets under it, and you can't adjust the height for carpet. It's a little wonky to empty; the lid gets in the way a bit. I'm still figuring out how to use it as a canister and what some of the tools are best for. Small things compared to the overall improvement over what I had -- and I'm glad I no longer have to spend money on bags!
